We were there with our new in-laws the day after the wedding as part of extending our celebration. We are all out of towners and someone found this through a search. What a find! First thing, don’t come to be stuffed full of bread before the meal. That will not happen. Instead you will be served whatever you order fairly quickly. Everyone enjoyed their choice of drink and food tremendously. I had the Pappardelle Funghi Salsiccia. It was excellent. Someone else had the capresse salad which was great. Another had the pasta bolognese. And the chef came out personally to check on this dish - he changed something with the prep and wanted to be sure our friend liked it. We really felt welcome here.

I truly can't say enough about the experience at Ristobar. What could have been a disaster was really turned around in a big way. Initially we had booked for inside which got changed to outside by chance. Because that wasn't initially what we wanted, they really went above and beyond to make our time magical. The food was excellent service was excellent,all around experience..amazing

We had our wedding dinner here during the pandemic with a small group of friends and Mattia, made it absolutely special. He went above and beyond what we had requested. He decorated the tables with centerpieces and also printed out special menus for us. Every one of our friends loved everything they had ordered. More recently when we were in SF we went to have dinner here to celebrate our anniversary and we spoke to Mattia who was just as amazing as we remembered. He really cares about his customers. The food here is so delicious! Do not skip the bread as an appetizer, it's absolutely delicious. The service was so good, the waiter was super attentive and always made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place for a good Italian meal!

The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dinner on an extremely busy evening for the restaurant. We had multiple employees checking in on our meal throughout the night given they knew there were likely delays given the high volume. They did a great job and the staff also did not rush us out at the end of the night during closing which we appreciated. We were fully taken care of and the food was delicious! Thank you!

I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the best treatment we’ve ever gotten at a restaurant! We had the best service experience and delicious food! We came to celebrate my husbands birthday and they were so kind in giving us recommendations for food as well as tips on places to visit and try while in San Fran. They truly made us feel welcome! Try the baba desert.

It's second to none. The bartender June is a true gem, with an infectious personality and a wealth of knowledge about the menu. She's passionate about her craft and it shows in every drink she makes. Not to mention, her customer service skills are impeccable - she made our visit to Risto Bar a truly unforgettable experience. In short, if you're looking for a restaurant that has it all - fantastic food, amazing drinks, and exceptional service - Risto Bar is the place to be.
