I had breakfast here it was really delecios. They changed the place and name of this resturant. Now it is called "grill" in the ground floor.

For the service and presentation, the price point is actually pretty reasonable. We went for lunch and weren't disappointed; I got the salmon sandwich, which I would recommend.
For reference, it's on the 4th floor of the hotel. No need to check in anywhere—just head straight there.

is on its own level of exquisite early morning cuisine in san francisco. I prefer the eggs benedict. Today's special treat after ordering was homemade v8 juice. Vitrine is on the 4th level of st. regis hotel and is a personal hidden gem of mine. The coffee is medium roast and very tasty just black.

I just had a terrific breakfast here at Vitrine. I ordered the frittata and asked the waiter if he could replace the potatoes with a sauteed vegetable of some sort. He was happy to ask the chef to do that, and the result was a very nice concoction of spinach, mushrooms, sprouts, and some other stuff, not just a bland plate of spinach, which is what most restaurants would provide. I also liked that when I ordered a black coffee the waiter left the whole pot at my table.
The dining room I'm in is clean, airy, spacious, and nicely lit with outdoor light through the big 4th floor windows. There are a lot of people in here, and there is a nice buzz in the air -- not too loud, and certainly not too hushed.
The free Wifi is fast, though you have to ask the waiter for the password if you're not a hotel guest. This is a nicer sort of place than where you'd want to whip out a laptop and work for a while, but I'm doing just that and no one seems to mind whatsoever.
The prices are about what you'd expect at a high end hotel.
