Early dinner at this great local neighborhood restaurant. Very friendly and I noticed a lot of local pick up orders while I ate. Def a good sign. I tried their specialty fish chowder and roti with curry sauce.

The chicken coconut curry is flavorful and tasty, while spicy beef is stringy and hard to chew. Overall good service and atmosphere.

Delicious food served in a beautiful interior dining space or an expansive outdoor area. The beautiful umbrellas hung on the ceiling, art, and warm lighting make this restaurant very welcoming. The manager, Hsan, was very helpful, kind, and seemed happy to answer my questions. Service here is excellent. The food and drinks are also excellent. All of the portions are meant for sharing, which is why they have separate plates and serving spoons, but if you're alone, it's fine to eat out of the bowls the food comes in. I had the tea leaf salad, chicken curry with rice, and Burmese milk tea. The tea leaf salad is an acquired taste and I didn't like it, but it was flavorful and the tea leaves are imported because they can't be found in the US, according to the manager. The chicken curry was perfectly seasoned and the chicken was extremely tender. You could shred it with a spoon. The jasmine rice was perfectly cooked. The Burmese milk tea was the perfect temperature and really tasty. There were a lot of other drinks as well, with alcohol. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. There's loads of dining space inside and in the back, the food is great, there's a restroom, and the food is fairly priced.

YOU HAVE TO EAT HERE!! I dont have the words to express how perfect every aspect of this hidden gem is! The rice, the beef, the shrimp were to DIE FOR! They melted in the mouth and the seasoning on everything was perfect. I even had a really good chardonnay with my meal! Plus the staff is VERY kind and happy to have you there. They even put labeling on each menu iten to tell you if its vegan, spicy, or if it has gluten in it. [Most of the menu is already GF!] IM BEGGING YOU, PLEASE EAT HERE! I wish my stomaxh was bigger to try everything on their menu. D: lol. <3

04/24 Every dish was uniquely flavorful and yummy. I've been meaning to go here and came with my immediate family and my grandma. We all enjoyed the food and cleaned off every plate! I especially loved the noodle salad and basil fish. As said in previous reviews, the service is quick and friendly, would go again.

- B.K. Style Signature Tea Leaf Salad - Nan Gyi Thok - Rice Noodle Salad - Beef Lemongrass - Coconut Rice - Semolina Cake I visited a couple of Burmese places in SF, and this is one of the best place to go, especially for their Tea Leaf Salad and Coconut Rice! I had all the dishes above and all of them were amazing. It's a family business, and the salad is made super fresh when you order it. Coconut Rice had a great mix of sweetness from the coconut and the fragrance of the saltiness of onion. The texture was also perfectly chewy, but not too soft. I could tell the owners put a lot of care into each dish. And they're friendly, too! They were very careful about checking on a food allergy in my group. I'll definitely come back when I visit SF again!

Seems like a family owned place, server looked like he might be the owner (I saw him breaking a customer's hundred with change from his wallet!), and the food was amazing. If you like Burma Superstar and don't want to wait two hours, just go here! It's one street over and just as good! Get the Tea leaf salad!

What a pleasant surprise for our first time here. Samosas were piping hot. BK tea leaf salad was delightful, full of flavor - would definitely get that again. Tofu salad was excellent. Vegetarian garlic noodles were a little different, almost like angel hair vermicelli - interesting and flavorful but not sure we'd get it again. Garlic ginger pork curry was excellent. This place will go into our regular rotation.
