We got the King Tut fries because of the superficial similarities to the super fries menu option you see in Tucson. We also got a shawarma wrap and some fries. Everything was made to order and it was great. The restaurant is cozy, the person who took our order and brought our food was really nice. It didn’t seem like we ordered that much, but we did have to get a box to take home a ton of leftovers. As a first timer to San Francisco it can be a little overwhelming to navigate at first. This was a great spot to feel welcome and take a break from the hustle and bustle.

Tasty Egyptian food in the TenderNob. Affordable prices and nice portion sizes. The lamb and beef shawarma is always a hit in dish form or wrap. And so is the hummus. The Koshari was delicious. It was a beautiful symphony of different flavors and textures. The jute plant soup on the other hand is an acquired taste for sure. Tasty but texture wise.

Ordered delivery so no comment about its Atmosphere or service at the restaurant. Food is Ok. If they use better quality material (e.g. beef) I believe food could be more tasty.

As an Egyptian from New York, we have some of the best restaurants. This restaurant far exceeded expectations. They have delicious Egyptian food made by Egyptians! I felt like I was at home with the quality and authenticity of the food. I highly recommend this restaurant!

It's been a good decade since I've last had koshari (and it was when I had it in Cairo, Egypt). Finally found a spot and got some. Might not be the authentic thing to do(?), but they let me add lamb to it. Delicious. And their kunafa is good, too! The cashier/waiter was super nice. Go check it out.

They make a really delicious shawarma - and it always arrives hot from delivery. The meat is juicy, tender, and flavourful. The garlic sauce is top tier, and extra points for being dairy free. They have also been willing to do replacements within the wrap itself, so I appreciate that level of service and accommodation.
I highly recommend this spot.

I love this little gem. Every time I come to San Francisco I order the beef and lamb Shawarma wrap and it’s always perfect. Great service and amazing food. If you’re in the area you’ve got to try it.

Great vibe, great food. The owner is super nice and makes the food super fast, and everything tastes great. I've been a few times, and the food is consistently great.
Falafel - unlike most outside falafel, it's not dry - it's the perfect texture, with enough substance to it that it's a really great part of any item you'll get here.
I really like their falafel wrap - it's better than most places you'll find in the city, and it's at a good price.
Their Koshari is amazing. I don't think the dish is for everyone, but I absolutely love it. When I went today I was able to get it with Falafel added to it, and the owner gave me tahini + a spicy sauce to add on it (note to owner - you should definetly premix these into the koshari, it elevated the dish so much).
Overall a really great place to eat, highly recommend!

What an experience it was. Nostalgic, mind and taste journey for the soul. Loved the place. The food was amazing, it definitely took me back to the streets of Cairo and the service was top notch as Malik made the experience personal and wefelt like we are part of his family. My wife was blown away over the food and how good it was. Thank you guys for a wonderful meal and all around experience. Looking forward to our next visit.

We are going to Egypt in November and have been so curious about the food that we have been seeing on youTube, so we decided to check out an Egyptian restaurant tonight while visiting in San Francisco. Bonus that it was just a 5-block walk from our hotel! We tried koshari, falafel, and a beef and lamb dinner plate that had rice, vegetables, pita and hummus. For dessert we tried walnut baklava, pistachio burma, and kunafa. I found it to be quite delish!
My personal favorite has to be the kunafa dessert which was highly recommended by the guy that works there and I'm SO glad that he did! He was very helpful and friendly and told us all about any fish we inquired about. Definitely check this place out!!!

Tasty, big choice including vegetarian, open late, good price. The place we were going was closed as it was after 11pm, we had to find another place, we just walked and noticed this great restaurant, we had to wait for food around 15 mins, it's not fast food style.. It's nice middeteranian food.. hummus, babaganush, kebab, falafel etc.. The restaurant looks small and simple, but food is very good. I took Pharaoh falafel wrap, it was excellent. Would come here again!

It is such a cute, cozy restaurant in the heart of SF! Family-owned, great food!!!! Their Gyros (Shawerma) is very authentic! We live in Monterey CA, and every single time we visit SF or pass by SF, we stop at this place! Their food is amazing!

Delicious Egyptian food at reasonable prices. Many vegan/vegetarian friendly options. Ordered the Pharaohs Falafel Wrap which had falafels and garlic eggplants. It was fresh and crisp. The artwork added to the ambience. Stringent covid requirements. Had to show proof of full vaccination for dine in and wearing masks indoors except while eating was duly enforced.

Thank goodness I read the review before mine. First I got a beef and lamb shawarma / wrap. Then, did another order for Knafeh and Koshari.
Hot dayumn!!!!
This place is a must. Food is killer. The man up front is super nice. I went in total an hour out of my way this evening to make this happen and it was so worth it.

Great place for authentic egyptian food. Plenty of indoor seating space. You even have the TV playing Egyptian Arabic music. Also they’re Koshari is amazing!

Great tasting food and prompt service. A little pricey but I loved the unique cuisine offerings such as moolakayeh and rice. I ordered delivery so can’t comment on dining area.

I really like this place. After a concert if I want something open late night This is where I come since they take orders till 2:45am
The chicken shawarma is grilled to order. I always have it no onions. Falafel is smaller and crunchy. And the french fries are seasoned, inexpensive and a really big portion.
They have some desserts. Stuff I couldn't pronounce. I've tried a few and they were good as well.
