read a lot of good reviews and decided to try it. the atmosphere is good, the staff is polite. The food is average I would say. My husband liked Oyako Don. I ordered the dinner set. the sushi was delicious. The salad was cut very large and it was hard to eat. the chicken was very thin and the portion was small. Overall not bad, but I think $30 is too much for this.

Super fast and very tasty - Lion King Roll was juicy and flavorful. Miso soup on the house with every order. Refill green tea.

The salmon nigiri was so flavorful and fresh we absolutely loved it. The salmon lover roll has a good kick from the wasabi so be prepared for that too. We enjoyed everything we ordered here and would definitely come back given the chance.

Going into this restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The staff was welcoming and attentive. Our family of 5 was seated immediately, and our drinks and food arrived quickly.
Everything looked delicious, and after taking a taste of each dish, we were delighted. Our family grew up in Japan, and the flavors brought us back.
Check this place out, it'll make your visit to Japantown absolutely worth it.

Located in the center of Japan town shopping mall; this place reminds you of Tokyo streets; food are simple and tasty; ramen udon rice bowl and all daily hearty food; I have been to this place multiple times; taking my family to enjoy a decent meal, very clean; and good decorations.

Low key ramen + sushi + bento restaurant.
Not a ton of choice, but enough. Not much sashimi choices, small but lovely, great cozy atmosphere.

Our favorite place in Japan Town on SF. Yummiest Katsu chicken curry and katsu don. Good quality sushi rolls. Interior is cute and clean. Servers are nice. Service is fast.

First time diner after walking by a million times along Restaurant Row... and I don't know why I didn't come here sooner.
Firstly, the staff was very courteous and patient as we browsed their menu. Secondly, for a Friday night Kushi Tsuru was lively but not in an overwhelming manner.
Mostly importantly, the food! Ordered the dinner special, a handful of appetizers and wakame - all excellently prepared and delicious! Definitely coming back to try their curry and donburi (and likely everything else on the menu)

I really enjoyed the food here! The curry tasted fantastic and the ambiance was nice. We didn’t have to wait in line on a Saturday at 6:20pm.

In the middle of the Japantown mall there are any number of restaurants, but this one stands out for the variety on its menu, the overall quality of the food, and the prompt, courteous staff. We had sashimi, tempura, soba, and two rolls. The unagi was particularly delicious. Recommended!

Despite reading a lot of negative reviews for restaurants in Japantown, we came here because it was the only restaurant that had no wait. It was 8:15pm on a long weekend Saturday.

Food was ok, nothing special at all. We had an unagi roll and the teriyaki chicken. The salad dressing was really weird, it was watery with no taste. There were also a few flies buzzing around since the doors / windows were all open.

If I had a choice and wasn't starving I would go out of Japantown for food.

Nothing To Write Home About. Pretty standard and bland cuisine. I had curry udon that was too watery, and for the price, the portion was too small. My friend had a too generic bento. If you go to Japantown, you can find better places to eat.
