the DEFINITION of a hidden gem, truly a hole in the wall. if you read the reviews you’ll find that most of them only detract in their rating due to poor service/language barrier. but for me, the food alone easily makes up for any awkwardness or ordering difficulty. this is the best hk style wonton soup noodles ive had in the bay, perhaps maybe even california. the broth is extremely rich and savory with a strong flavor that isn’t too salty. the beef tendon is UNBELIEVABLY beefy and tender, it fills your mouth with savory goodness. the wontons have perfectly bouncy shrimp inside, and the noodle texture is perfect when it comes out.
aside from this, the chicken wings are delicious, as well as the curry fish balls. service was fast (though it took effort from our end) and the food was cheap!
a small restaurant but offer good cantonese food
the beef brisket tastes very good
you can find shrimp in shrimp wonton
fried chicken wings is must order item!
be expected you need to know cantonese in order to make the order
you can say… no customer services
Been here in the past and happen to get breakfast here today. They are known for their wonton noodle soups, my go to is the beef brisket wonton ho fun soup.
Lovely wonton noodle soup. Recommend their specialty of beef wonton noodle soup (number 5) - the broth is much more flavorful than the broth for traditional wonton noodle soup. Chicken wings are yummy - fried to perfection and nice salt and pepper seasoning without being too salty. They have cold beer too.
Great noodle 🍜 Clean restaurant and better price👍 other restaurants doesn’t have eat in side or they don’t show the price. but here is more local, slow, relax Lunch if you want to have, this is the place.
$10 covered my meal and tip.
Be advised there is a language barrier, but the menu is easy to read and prices are completely within reason and meets my budget.
A handful of noodle and rice dishes, but all of them feel appropriate for the location.
I had beef Ramen, and it was obviously made from scratch and not just a base. It came with hot tea.
I was turned away at first, language barrier, but I will likely be eating here throughout my business trip.
The Beef brisket & Wonton noodles soup is very yummy 😋. Very friendly service and very reasonable price. Highly recommend lunch spot 👍👍👍
Weather forecast today calls for cold weather and showers. Gray and foggy skies. A bowl of hot wonton noodle soup w/beef brisket ($6.75) is my version of chicken noodle soup for the soul...
This place hits the spot. Very good service.
(Side note: they have pretty chopsticks)
Order:
- Beef Stew Wonton Noodle Soup
- Milk Tea
Pretty authentic noodle soups for very reasonable prices. Would recommend if you're looking for a clean and quality meal.
