You know those restaurant's you walk by and just smelling the food makes you gain weight?? Well, this is one of them! Comfort food at its finest! Everything is good! Yes peeps, I've tried just about everything on the menu! My absolute favorite is the biscuit and "Coca Cola" brisket. Double B's! I'm a bread fanatic so when I heard biscuit I went crazy! Let's talk about this brisket that melts in your mouth with a slight sweet flavor. I've ordered the brisket several times and it's always consistent! My only complaint would be the basic mac and cheese. I like it fancy with a lot of different cheeses and a little crispy on the top. The spot is small so get there early or get it to go. Sometimes there's a line but usually they hustle right through it. You can sit at the bar or seats along the side of the wall. Great customer service! Everyone is super friendly! What are you waiting for? Go check them out!

Just around the corner from SLIM’S. Perfect spot to go eat before a show. The brisket is cooked perfect, the Mac n cheese is delicious . Overall make sure you order their cat head biscuits, their has big as a cat’s head. The jelly that comes with it is makes them even better. The customer service was awesome. I will definitely be back next time Local H comes to SF or my next concert at Slim’s. Don’t be an idiot and walk up the stair way to heaven.

Might not have the prettiest plate but don't let that fool you, the BBQ is delicious! We tried the brisket sandwich and ribs with Mac n cheese. Both meats are cooked to perfection, the brisket melts in your mouth and ribs are flavourfull and juicy! Mac n cheese was okay. Hospitality was great! 👌🏽

The best traditional bbq in SF. This Texas style with that rich smoke that you will carry with you after you leave. I’ve done everything from the brisket, pulled pork, and ribs. I’ve heard that you judge a bbq spot in their brisket and I didn’t think it was perfect. No saying it was bad but it’s no Salt Lick. Go with the ribs and pulled pork sandwich. Best things on the menu imo. Their sides are great and definitely go with the collard greens. It ain’t try bbq without baked beans, collard greens and corn bread. Overall, highly recommended by locals and yes, it’s featured on triple D.

Delicious food. Fun little location. Docking a star because it was less brisket than I was expecting in a $19 plate and because the biscuits were comically small. We liked the brisket, the link sandwich, the collard greens, baked beans, and the habanero slaw. I'd go back and I recommend it.

Where Big Nates used to be. My first San Francisco visit in 1996 brought me to Big Nates BBQ and since them I am hooked. Big Nates closed but it's place has been taken by Cathead. The quality is excellent. I tasted chicken, brisket, ribs as well as the sausage, and all was tender, tasty amd perfectly cooked. I will definitely come back. Try the habanero sauce.... As well as the 2 coleslaw sides option. Incredible...

Excellent BBQ!!! Good portions. There isn’t much good BBQ in the Bay Area in my opinion but this place is excellent! Super nice people! I had already eaten some then decided to take a picture. Ribs are great, tender and gall off the bone. Brisket is marbled, “fatty” which I like. The pimento Mac and cheese is pretty good too. The guy at the counter with glasses and beanie was super helpful explaining the menu.

Great atmosphere and music! Friendly staff. Food arrived quick. Huge portions, well worth the price. The ribs were good, habanero slaw awesome, pimento mac creamy and delish. The watermelon sweet tea is an absolute must!

Boy oh boy, BBQ!! This place was down right awesome. We could tell from the moment we got in line and got a nice big wiff of that smokey BBQ smell in the air. Came here around 12pm on a Friday during lunch rush and the line did pick up but it doesn't take that long to get to order. We ended up ordering: •Coca-Cola Smoked Brisket - delicious with their cola BBQ sauce is what I'm assuming is on there. You can definitely see the smoke ring around the meat, but it wasn't as apparent in the taste, wish there was just a bit more smokiness •Mac & Cheese - when I'm eating BBQ I love me some Mac and Cheese and this did not disappoint. It was creamy and silky smooth •Baked Potato with BBQ Lamb - this was kind of like a play on a lamb sandwich, but instead of buns, it was a baked potatoe wrapping the lamb, it was great! •The plate came with pickled vegetables which I loved since I love anything pickled. Also came with a mini biscuit which I thought was just OK. •Sweet Iced Tea came with the plate. DE-LIHH-SHUSS. SO refreshing! •Breakfast Stout - tastes like any other Oatmeal Stout, which is fantastic Would definitely want to come back here and try out everything else on their menu. Those ribs look delicious!!

Tried the pulled pork and brisket. The pork was tender had a very unique sauce that added a lot of flavor but did not overwhelm the meat. Try the habanero sauce with this! The brisket was cut thick Texas style and was the appropriate level of tenderness, it had a nice smoke. I also had the collard greens and the Cathead Biscuit with honey butter and pepper jelly. I finished the meal with a brown butter sugar cookie that was delicious. I recommend a visit, great staff, Zach showed me the smoker, one of the only brick smokers un the region.
