A neighborhood classic with excellent flavors. Nice service. The dining room could use a refresh but overall a good experience.

Good, quick service and most of the menu can be made gluten free.

Their Thai food is the best and the service here is amazing. They have a wonderful menu selection and their prices are pretty decent too.

I had lunch here today for the first time. The Satay Wraps were absolutely amazing, which I rarely say about most places. The atmosphere was really cool too. It almost felt like I was in another country.

It's my second time to eat at Marnee Thai. First time was last year on a week night when it wasn't too busy. This time, there was a line because of the night market. Didn't take too long to get seated.
We ordered the Tom Ka with chicken, the roasted duck, and pad kee mao. A lot of food for 2, but we really did enjoy everything.
Food is so flavorful! My partner has been eating here since be was in middleschool and the quality has not changed.

Despite being understaffed, they have some fast, constant service that prevents you from having one second without food on your plate. This is a nice, beautifully decorated restaurant, but in my opinion could have some more gusto in the presentation of their food (especially their “award-winning” dishes) that would help them become more appealing. In terms of food, I personally found it rather hit-or-miss. Their papaya salad and Tom kha soup had an oddly strong and pungent taste, while I found the satay rather bland (though mixing the satay sauce with sweet sauce made it better). However, there were also several positive dishes, like an impeccable and spicy Pad Kee Mao, some interesting green curry (I loved the eggplants), an outstandingly flavorful Pad Prig Pao, and fresh Imperial rolls with a brilliantly made sauce. Improvement is possible and very attainable for this cute restaurant in San Francisco.

This restaurant was packed and busy when we went. They have small indoor seating area. The food was really good and was just the right amount of spicy. Super friendly and attentive staff.

My wife and I had dinner here, and I'm not sure why there would be any bad reviews of this place. I haven't had this authentic of Thai food since leaving Thailand. She had Tom Kah gai, and I had Pad Kra pao. It might not have been holy basil, but the rest of the recipes were spot on. Service was very friendly and the food was hot and fast. Plus who doesn't love Thai tea. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

I’m really confused as to why this place only has a 4.2 rating (at time of this review). Thai food is my absolute favorite cuisine & I think that this is the best Thai food I have had in all of California. We got the roti with peanut curry sauce, mango chicken fried rice, beef pad see ew, and Hor Mok.
The roti was a beautiful appetizer & the curry sauce was slightly more runny than anticipated but had a fantastic flavor nonetheless. I don’t think I’ve ever had mango fried rice & it was really good but the mango did not add much to the dish, in my opinion. The pad see ew had a wonderful flavor & I loved the amount of egg they put in it. And finally wow the hor mok!!! I had never had this dish but I was very impressed by the banana leaf presentation and the flavor of the snapper & curry mousse was really good, especially over the fried rice.
Unfortunately my acid reflux was acting a fool so I didn’t try any of the spicy dishes which I hear this place is known for but all of the above were not spicy but were extremely flavorful. I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in SF, and hopefully I’ll get to try the coconut hotcakes if they’re still on the seasonal menu. This place is Michelin starred for a reason, try it!!
