These cupcakes are marvelous! They are so light and fluffy, and not too sweet so that the chocolate is the dominant flavor. There’s just the right amount of icing too so every bite is perfect. Words can’t do them justice…

I get Kara's Cupcakes 1-4 times per month and have for multiple years now. I love their sweet chocolate, fleur de sel, and chocolate velvet cupcakes -- and we just tried the flourless chocolate for the first time, which was also great! I have occasionally had slightly dry cupcakes, but for the past 6+ months they've consistently been stellar. I like the flavor of Kara's cupcakes more than Susie's or any other cupcake I've had in the area.

Beautiful cupcakes which we have been waiting to try for long. My partner was craving Red Velvet cake, and having tried Susie's cake a block away, we thought of trying the cupcake instead. I got the flourless chocolate cupcake. Since it was flourless, it did crumble but tasted good, not too sweet. Red Velvet was bit of a disappointment. It had a strange flavor. We might be back to try other flavors though to support local businesses.

Who doesn't like sugar, cream, and butter - all mixed into a delicious cupcake! The Lemon has a surprise filling that will delight. But I'd always suggest getting 2 or 3.... just in case!

I absolutely love this place . The decor /theme is so cute ! Very high ceilings with beautiful lighting. We got the banana pudding and tress leches cake. So amazing! Such high quality dessert and it had the perfect amount of sweetness! The workers were very pleasant. Will definitely be back.

Over priced? Maybe, BUT are they amazing?... double yes. These cupcakes are like crack. I'm not a big chocolate fan but if one of these things were put in front of me I wouldn't be able to resist. I would recommend the Kara's Carrot... you would be missing out if you didn't grab one of these to go even if your taste buds pull you elsewhere.

Yesterday was my first visit, but it won't be my last! When I walked in the cashier explained everything they offer, and I opted for one cupcake. Before I could even take a bite I knocked it off the counter. The cashier was so understanding and offered me another right away! Great service, yummy cupcake. Keep it up

Best cupcakes in SF. I'm still a fan of the Fleur de Sel and the Meyer Lemon (pro tip: always get a cupcake with filling) and I've been coming here for about 12 years.
Leaving off one star for the weird service we received today. Usually everyone is so laid back and friendly. The woman behind the counter today was a little brusque and it seemed like we were bothering her. I hope service isn't going downhill and that it was just a fluke this morning.

Woah, what a cupcake! They offer a good selection of flavors, and a few other treats. I got a mixture of different types, and the ones I've had I love. The cake is wet and tastes great, but the frosting is to die for. Really good and I can't wait to have some more!
