Quality pizza creations that would make my Italian homeland proud! Breakfast pizza was 100/100 and their stone-ground granola was also fantastic. Everything about the restaurant environment from the music to the table settings are on-point 👌 plus the owners are the sweetest chefs I’ve ever met! I would definitely recommend Gioia to any gourmet pizza lover, and will be back again soon 🔥

Great spot. We usually come in for brunch. Hangover pasta and their breakfast potatoes are a must have. Service is great and welcoming.

This is one of the best restaurants I've been to in a while. I just happened to stumble upon it and I am so glad that I did! I love the farm to table aspect, their fresh ingredients, and then the atmosphere to boot is incredible making it a wonderful experience for lunch or dinner! Don't waste any time making your reservation, you need to be there like yesterday.

Gioia is has great pizza that has a crispy thin under crust with fluffy outside crust. The salads are quite delicious as well. They also have a small but decent craft beer selection. The lunch special is really great and they are much, much less busy at lunch time.

Amazing craft pizzas in a convenient spot on Polk St. with great decor. They also have a nice brunch that isn't as crowded as many of the other places around. The breakfast pasta on the brunch menu is definitely worth a try. This is also an easy place to get a reservation which is very helpful for a large group.

Excellent pizza! The burger (Wednesday night) was pretty fantastic as well. It was awesome to order a burger medium rare and actually have it come out medium rare. Small complaints: the blue cheese overpowered the actual taste of the burger, and the fries were too thinly cut. They have a few beers on tap but all are excellent microbrews.

Beautiful space and location, and the margherita pizza was great as well. While I found nothing to complain about, I found nothing to rave about either. Gioia is a perfectly fine to go to with a SO or a friend, and have a nice proper meal. But it is not the kind of place I would go to wow a date or satisfy my pizza cravings. It just kind of blends in with a lot of other restaurants in the city. The prices are also a bit high, but understandable given the location.

We really love this darling pizzeria on Polk Street. It's different because of the very fresh and gourmet pairings on the pizzas which rotate constantly. Try appetizers as well -- the flavor on each dish is unique and perfected. Fabulous environment, fabulous pizzas. We love the butternut squash + ricotta when it's on the menu. You also might want to try the meatballs- the staple of the menu that never changes.

Wow - the crust, the fresh ingredients and the ambiance. This pizza place has it all. We split the 14" spinach pizza with seasonal topping (3 people with 2 large slices each) and voted it the best pizza we have ever had. Strong IPA's, a friendly server and a beautiful window seat made it for the perfect evening. Last great note, they take reservations so you potentially have zero wait!

We've long been fans of the Pizzeria in Berkeley and were excited to try the new restaurant. We were absolutely delighted. Our pizza was perfect, crispy, fresh and delicious. We were more surprised by the outstanding food, including a fabulous fried chicken breast and utterly delicious kale. Not a single miss from what we ordered. It's also a lovely environment, very casual but warm, and the service was quite excellent. Don't miss it.
