Highly recommend! The food and service is exceptional. This is our new local spot
Get the Rack of Lamb, you won’t be Disappointed but everything on this menu is the real deal, just like the servers and chefs who run this fantastic spot. You’ll be fed well and enjoy the atmosphere like family.

One of my favorite Italian places in the city. I live a couple blocks away and love to come down here for dinner with friends and a bottle of wine. Risotto is always delicious. I always ask for the chefs special or clam linguine. Highly recommend
Fantastic family run Italian restaurant. Everything about this place is pleasant. Service was on point, it's relatively small and quiet, the food is excellent, tasty wines, and the little back courtyard is very quaint. Would definitely be a regular if I lived closer.
The food is traditional Southern Italian delicious food. Everything is prepared with the best ingredients and the best care. A charming atmosphere with reasonable prices, not to be missed!!
I was looking for a decent Italian restaurant to enjoy the dishes and experience the atmosphere. Via Veneto turned out to be the one: the variety of Italian dishes in the menu impressed me: there were so many options to explore. So far, I have tried an eggplant with Mozzarella, scaloppine al fughetto, Pollo al marsala and found all dishes delicious. The only challenge for me was to try their dessert menu: antipasti + entrée left no space in me to accommodate anything else. The Italian vibe of the place is very attractive, Massimo is a very hospitable host and felt at home there.
If you love the Italian cuisine, namely, traditional meals, and are not in a hurry, consider the Via Veneto restaurant in the Pacific Heights.
Italian home cooking with an added flavor of Italian chaos 😄
We had a booking for a Saturday at 7.30, we were seated at 7.45, at a table with no place-settings. The owner/waiter is very friendly, but has a European style attitude of service that may not suit everyone!!
Don’t go here for a quick 1 hr American dinner, go here only if you’re prepared to go with the flow, and you’ll have a nice time.
Main course is under $20, dessert and starter is generally under $10 and the food is good! The seafood pasta (Linguine del Pescatore) was a 5+, the San Daniele prosciutto was thinly sliced and amazing (the same way it is in Italy), the crepe dello Chef with espresso sauce was really nice and I would order all three again. The vegetables & potatoes that come with the fish/meat/chicken dishes are simple but of good quality (and better than no sides included like in Italy)
I would go back here when I wanted a mini-trip to Europe or if wanted eat calmly and then sit and chat without waiters hovering over me waiting to turn my table!
We ordered:
Prosciutto San Daniele
Mozzarella Caprese
Linguine del Pescatore
Scaloppine Saltimbocca
Cassata
Crepe dello Chef
1 bottle red wine Barbers del Asti, da Milano
1 glass white wine Pecorino, from Abruzzo
2 Espresso
1 glass grappa
Our bill was $141
Good menu and service, reasonable prices. A favorite of our when we visit SF. The food is very good.
Love this cute classic italian restaurant. Inside decor makes you feel like you're in a restaurant in Italy. They do have a little bar there you could easily come and sit by yourself at. Mostly indoor seating with some tables out front and a lovely outdoor terrace in the back. Decent wine list. Caprese salad was ok. I got the tortellini pasta and loved it! Didn't have room for dessert. Staff was very friendly !
Good food, a lot to choose from the. menu and the prices were very reasonable. The owner is a plus
