An outstanding southern comfort eatery deep in the Richmond. You’re definitely leaving with the “itis” after eating here. Very good portions at reasonable prices served in a family friendly environment. Number one is going have to go to the smothered pork chop, excellent. A close second is the blackened catfish, suggested by our waiter. Delicious. The fried chicken had a wonderful flavor to it. Successful. The sides all delivered as promised and the corn muffins were awesome. This is definitely a place for gatherings and families.
Dos thumbs up 👍👍

Solid southern comfort food in my neighborhood. The waitress was so friendly and kept our water and soda glasses filled.
The fried chicken is one of my favorites, but I've probably tried everything on the menu. I
They have a limited Beer and Wine selection, but that's fine for me.
This is definitely a neighborhood gem.

OVERALL UNDER SEASONED.
I had the country fried steak with yams and Mac.
Gravy for steak was bland [6/10]and yams were good but needed more sugar/cinnamon[6.5/10]. Mac and cheese was super runny but pasta had real good bite to them [5/10]
I ended up taking half of it home. When I got home I added Cajun seasoning, onion powder and garlic powder to the country fried steak and the Mac and cheese. Also added cinnamon to the yams. Everything became a solid 9/10.
They just need to add more seasoning and it could really do it justice. The good thing that was nice was the big portions of all the sides and the free corn breads. Also they might allowed free refills of their sweet tea.

We were amazed that we were seated right away in the last available booth for lunch on a Friday!
Amazing Oxtails, Collard Greens, Potato Salad and of course the steaming hot Corn Muffins brought to us right away!
Can't wait to try other items on the menu!

A long time eatery in the Sea Cliff neighborhood walking distance from Lincoln Park serving basic Southern fare. Breaded and deep fried, the menu runs contrary to today's veggie palates. But nonstop online to-go orders prove that burgers and fried pork chops still satisfy.

Authentic Southern cooking. The oxtail is meaty and delicious. Blackened catfish perfectly seasoned and cooked. Cornbread is moist with crunchy edges. Collard greens nice palate cleanser between the other spicier or fattier dishes. The portions are *huge* (especially the meat plates) so is excellent value if you are going to split something or will take home leftovers and eat another couple meals. Some of the sides can be a little average (e.g. red beans and rice is just that, without the layers of flavor you might get in a home version that is taking center stage) but all together is a delicious meal. Loved it!

Food was amazing! Was looking to something close to the VA hospital and found the perfect place to eat. The waiter was nice and he made sure we had everything. Will be returning any time I go to the VA hospital.

Great soul food with Michelin level service--seriously the staff here are attentive and can almost read your mind on your needs, from simple things like drunk refills, to being sure you have everything you need to make your experience pleasurable. The catfish is crisp and the sides are tasty and generously portioned. It's like that southern side-of-the road restaurant that all the locals go to for real food, except right here in SF.

Lovely place, nice neighbourhood feel. I have family that go there regularly and that’s where they took me.
Southern comfort food style of meals.
I ordered the short ribs with gravy with coleslaw and fries.
But because we eat Asian family style, I got to try the oxtail and fried chicken, and the corn side.
I donated my cornbread to my Aunty but it looked really nice - I was full though!
It’s a little expensive but I’m in SF so it’s not too bad for value and how much food I got.
The service was good and helpful.
I would definitely come back and will!!
