Damn good (and big) authentic tacos! I tried the fried fish and the steak both “Nick’s way” for the extra crunch of the hard and soft shell, plus guacamole…no skimping here, these tacos were stuffed! I was full with only 2! We also got the corn (Elote) for a starter. It was equally sweet corn and spicy toppings. We sat outside on their street patio nicely enclosed. And the server was so friendly, energetic and funny. Really enjoyed ourselves here. Great food, great spot, great people. Thank you!

Amazing food and extremely friendly and helpful staff! Had 2 tacos, jalapeño poppers (must have!) and tortilla soup - all things were awesome.
Worth noting that the drinks have to be ordered at the bar and they only accept card. Restaurant accepts both cash and cards.
Really recommend!

2023 Review: New location at Fillmore & Greenwich. So happy to see these guys relocate. Same amazing taste and staff!
2021 Review: Love their salads. Fish tacos will no disappoint. The habanero salsa is fire! Super good and reasonable prices.

Delicious! Quality tacos, get it the Nick's Way! Overpriced, and a decent amount of hidden fees.. Total price comes out to 13-16% steeper than menu prices after sales tax, SF health tax, Credit card fee. So be heads up of that, counter service as well so it's expensive for the actual experience. However, the food is solid.

Fried fish taco was good. Freshly made. Soft inside and crispy outside. Get with Nick’s way. Bit expensive for paying almost $5 for one taco. And they take cash only. The guy who took our order was nice and friendly.

The taco feud has been elevated. I’m a huge fan a Tacko’s taco preparation and spice, but I have to go with Nick’s c ambiance and vibe for a night out or to watch the game. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Great little find for us having just arrived in SF on hols. Great friendly service from both wait & bar staff, $4 Margaritas night were delicious, and so were the chips & Salas and Camarones Tacos 🌮 DJ playing some cool tunes setting a funky high vibe atmosphere. The place filled up quickly.

This place is spacious enough, with a fun vibe/atmosphere and some quite delicious tacos. At first glance, the tacos seem a bit pricey, but they are at least twice as big as an “average” taco (and quite delicious), so still probably worth it.
My only complaint would be about the music… in mid-afternoon they had the music (hip-hop from the past 20 years or so, which we usually enjoy) CRANKED to unreasonable levels. It wasn’t a dance club — not even any space for dancing — so we didn’t understand that, and it made it impossible to talk or chill there (we ended up going outside to eat and finish our drinks.) The only time music should be pumping that hard is at a dance club.

My go to spot for Taco Tuesday’s no matter who I’m with or what we doing! Nice music and some of the best fish tacos I’ve had! 🤷🏾
Always eating in 💯drinks included 🥳

One of the best Mexican restaurants in San Francisco. My all time favorite. Margaritas there are amazing but am
Missing the same kind from bar due to covid. The margaritas which are available on nicks are ok.
Must try from nicks are grilled fish tacos, veggie quesadilla, chicken burritos chips and guacamole. During this tuff times nicks has taken proper care and doing an wonderful job by serving there customers.

These tacos were so delicious. I thought I had the best already, but I was mistaken. The fried shell was perfectly matched with the loaded ingredients. It gets no better than this place.

Everything was really good. My favorite street taco was the simmered chicken one, a good 5/5. The carne asada crispy taco (nicks style) was really good too. The horchata and the hot poppers were also good. Their music game is strong. Good environment!

Delicious and massive tacos!
We got the pescado, shrimp, and fried chicken tacos - nick's way. They are packed with protein and guac and are absolutely delicious. The pescado and shrimp were our favorites! The fried chicken was good too and definitely more unique for a taco. I was stuffed after one and a half tacos and some chips.
We also got the elote, which is always good the jalapeno poppers we could've done without, but 100% will be back for these huge tacos.

Great spot for tacos and margaritas. Decent taco Tuesday deal. The environment is lively and upbeat, great spot for games - lots of TVs inside and out.
Order at the counter first unless you have a booth which are reservation only. Tuesdays and weekends get especially busy, but on other nights the reservable tables can be empty and you have to ask before you can just grab a table and sit there.
Staff are friendly (and deal with a lot)!
Veggie tacos are good! Assuming you can order vegan without the cheese, although may not be able to order Nick’s way. The street tacos are also good. I’m not a fan of the soup - it’s a bit salty and oily for my taste. The taco salad was not impressive. Stick with the tacos (although I may try a burrito one of these days)!
With COVID all salsas are in plastic, and last we got it to-go, all plastic containers. PLEASE SWITCH TO COMPOSTABLE FOR BOTH!

The food came out really quick and the quality of the meat was exceptional. I strongly endorse the shrimp tacos as they were out of this world! They also have different deals for the day of the week and is often very low-priced. Go to spot for tacos in San Francisco.
