I haven't been here in years and they changed the menu a bit but it was still overall good. Can't go wrong with the basics. We ordered a latte, donuts, pancake (it was huge, bigger than your face!), crispy pork belly and my friend ordered the egg sandwich with potatoes. My daughter loved the pancakes. Service was great. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive and not once did he rush us out like most places.

Probably my favorite restaurant I visited this year for restaurant week and probably the best deal, left happy with a full belly. Super friendly and attentive staff with a modern ambience . The portions were more than generous, I liked everything except the cauliflower soup and that could be because I had cauliflower soup at two other restaurants this week and this one was my least favorite. It was more pasty than soupy almost like porridge, I sent a picture of my soup to my friend and she thought it was hummus. Anyways everything else was good my favorite was the beef shank. I've heard good things about their brunch so will definitely come back!

The dinning ambiance of Serpentine is great. It is a great place to have a very good meal and conversation with friends or loved ones. The hostess and the runners were all very attentive and thoughtful.
My friend and I got started with some sparkling water that the runner thoughtfully suggested and brought us citrus for. We then got their house rolls that were warm fluffy salted rolls served with some yummy honey butter that we over indulged with.
Our next plate was the Caesar salad that was made with spinach. I really liked their Caesar dressing and found it to well balanced in regards to all the notes; not too salty and not overly fishy. The salad had some interesting croutons that were tasty, reminded us of wonton flavors.
My friend and I both got the ribeye plate. That was the highlight of the dinner truly. The ribeye was cooked perfectly, medium rare as steak should be, the char was on point. The steak was plated with a crispy potato cake and arugula dressed with citrus. Everything on that plate was paired perfectly together that made every bite a joy.
We got dessert cause life is short. My friend got the lime dessert that she described as a deconstructed key lime pie. I got the chocolate chess that was tasty. The chocolate chess reminded me of a hard mousse rather than a traditional chess pie.

Crab Benedict was delicious. Big chunks of crab. French toast with vanilla cream, SOOO good. Neat interior design. We sat at the bar, so no wait at all. Egg scramble was delicious as well

Very good food in a small hip space. Highlights were the house donuts and cocktail. Fried chicken wasn't what I was expecting but still tasty. Small portions, definitely new American.

I'm going to give this place 5 stars but mostly because of their ridiculously amazing donut dessert. Wowowowowow. The portions for the main courses are small so an appetizer is recommended, the truffle fries look especially good.

Had reservations for 4 at 10, got seated shortly after. Waitress didn't come by for 15-20 minutes. Not a great start, didn't even get water or anything. Bf and I got the Apple strudel pancake, adovado toast, donuts (5). Donuts were good (4.5*)and worth going back for. Good sauces to pair with them, especially the Carmel. Avocado toast was fine (3*), good flavor and seasoning on the veggies. Crust on the bread to over toasted and too hard to eat. The pancake was terrible, tasted burnt and the crumble was so hard and crunchy. It was like biting rock candy. The Apple chunks were in the middle of the pancake and wasn't worth eating. Over food was spotty and service wasn't stellar. Latte was meh. Would only return for the donuts.

It’s really hard for me to typically give a low rating review but this was by far one of the worst food experiences I’ve had in San Francisco. I was fairly looking forward to trying serpentine but extremely disappointed in what I had to try. I ordered the pumpkin soup, the ceviche and truffle fries. The pumpkin soup was probably the most adequate dish. But the ceviche, I’ve never had ceviche taste that terrible. It was basically pure lemon juice and citrus juice just soaked in the seafood. There was no flavor it it and extremely bitter. The quality of the truffle fries were horrible too. Too greased, the cheese was too fungy and just nothing special. Service was okay but have to admit, Will likely never come back unless they redo the menu.
