Great ambiance and drinks, but very average food. 3 stars for the food. We tried five appetizers and none of them was great. The fried sprouts were way too oily and didn’t like the sweetness. The cauliflower & lentils, baked goat cheese, and citrus salad was either underwhelming or average. The best was prob the fried calamari because it wasn’t too oily. Would come back for the vibe but not the food unfortunately

Quaint little alley patio that's dog friendly and with heat lamps over each table. Great atmosphere and food too! Will be returning more regularly.

Went on a Friday evening for a drink and dinner. They have outdoor seating but I can see why it’s difficult to get a table outside. Really cute restaurant, topped by good food and drinks. We ordered a hazy ipa(on tap) and a cocktail (tongue teaser). Both were really good. For the food, we went with smoked trout, baked goat cheese, gnocchi and tiramisu. Smoked trout - well seasoned, citrusy cucumber linguini, smoky fish. Really refreshing. Baked goat cheese - super delicious. Gnocchi - soft and creamy. We’ll seasoned.

I can't believe this was my first time at The Fly Trap in San Francisco. I was very impressed by the whole thing. They have a wonderful atmosphere, great decorations, and service that is wonderful. The full bar makes a great cocktail, and they have a nice cocktail list. The menu is well balanced. I had the risotto. My wife had the grill ribeye it was cooked just right at medium. We both loved our food, and the sides that came with the ribeye were so tasty. This is definitely a place I will be going back to. Also, get the baked goat cheese!!!!!!

Ordered a melon ball cocktail with watermelon, citrus, soda which was quite unique and tasty. I appreciate their extensive mocktail selection. Also ordered the Fried Brussels with bacon, honey vinaigrette and Roasted Beets with chickpeas, pickled onion, mint, bread crumbs, goat cheese, pomegranate vinaigrette. Both were extremely delicious, with large portions at a great price. Service was fast and friendly and even quite flexible as we changed from 4 to 5. Overall wouldn't hesitate to come here again to try out all the other delicious things on the menu.

Enjoyed an incredible meal here on our vacation. Decided to give this place a try on a whim and WOW are we glad we did. Solid cocktails, a great menu and super friendly staff that made us feel right at home. Enjoyed the roasted beets, cheese plate, truffle fries, rigatoni bolognese, and the half roasted chicken with mushroom sauce which was #brokedamout. So damn good. Crispy skin, tender and moist, and just so delicious. We almost didn’t order it but so glad we did. It was the best bite on our first day in San Francisco, and we did eat quite well. If you’re in the area, highly recommend giving this place a try.

Favorites: everything :) This restaurant exceeded my expectations. It is a very cozy, small and beautiful restaurant. It has indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is a narrow alley with exceptional decoration. It feels you are home. It is warm and cute. Loved the place and definitely will go back. BTW, the staff are super friendly. We had salmon, ribeye, and rigotini as a main dish. For dessert, we tried the Creme Brule and chocolate moose

Lovely place for team dinner! The ambience was good and service was good! Recommend reservations during peak dinner time. The portion size was decent. The meat was perfectly cooked. Only complaint is for the bread pudding with berries where berries were non-existent (vs my previous visit), clearly inflation adjusted lol

Came here on a rainy Tuesday...the place was pretty busy but we were able to get 2 spots at the bar. The place has a laid back, eclectic vibe with friendly service. We were here fairly late so mostly just getting a snack. We shared the Cream of Mushroom soup, Chicken Skewers (came with 3), and Warm Bread. The star was the soup - hot and comforting. The bread was a disappointment - small portion for $4 and was more like crusty crouton slices. Chicken skewers were juicy and had great flavor. With a cocktail and a beer, our tab came to around $55. A bit pricey for a late night snack but food was tasty.
