I cam here for lunch with my team and ordered their Steak Frites. I asked for it to be cooked medium and it was perfectly done. It was best steak I’ve had in a really long time, so juicy and tender! Everyone’s food was well portioned and well plated. Service was quick and the staff was friendly. We were greeted upon entry and exit of the restaurant. Would love to come back for their dinner!

One vegetarian entree and nothing vegan, but the chef and staff were enthusiastic about accommodating me. Ended up getting a delicious custom dish that was well balanced nutritionally and tasty too! Thanks again :)

Beautifully prepared--our group enjoyed the pork chop, octopus, corn bisque, various salads. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The staff was especially helpful with our large group, so the event went off without a hitch.

Always on the search for a good happy hour, Gaspar Brasserie hit the mark. Not only did they have a solid choice of cocktails for $8 (I know, still not the most cost effective, but this is SF), they also had a small assortment of treats - I went for the Duck Croquettes and had two orders of the Brioche au Caviar - which were also $8 each. If you can make the 6:30pm deadline, definitely pay this place a visit for HH.

Came here for a team dinner. Staff was quite attentive and the atmosphere was a quiet casual setting. First time trying escargot and it was delicious. Just don’t look at the texture and just eat it. My favorite part was the grilled octopus and braised ribs. The pate was just ok. Dessert was average as well; nothing mind blowing. Overall it was a great dining experience 👍🏼

Swordfish was just phenomenal. Good octopus, but I needed a larger octopus leg. Reference, Seafire Grille in New York. Great duck croquettes. Spectacularly executed. I sincerely appreciated when a waitress said we can't split a dish because it will ruin the chef's presentation. We were with esteemed guests from Thailand where food is exclusively ordered to share. My sensibilities are across cultures. I said good - this is as chef needs us to experience the food. I have the same challenges feeding my kids, albeit in much more bourgeoisie circumstances, a crude Thai soup or Indian curry. My guests were gracious and the food was impeccable. The ambience is 100%. Wonderful. Private, close, quiet, peaceful.
Service was only ok. We had a delightful waitress with a Ukrainian accent, wonderful. As an amateur fine dining critic, pair this spectacular food with more rigid front-of-house training. The swordfish dish and duck croquettes easily earned 2 Andy-stars. Take it for what it's worth. The food is spectacular.
Simply put: make that food and train front of house staff to deliver service like a restaurant I know in a city I'm from, and you will win a Michelin star. It was THAT good.

Everything was delicious and portioned just right. We had fois gras, escargot, steak frites, poulet roti, duck confit, and moules frites. All fantastic. My only complaint is that our cocktails were small and very watered down...not a plus when they cost $14 each. My Aviation had good flavor, but it tasted like it had been shaken for 10 minutes with melting ice. Same with my husband's Old Fashioned, all ice.

Already went a several times to this place and loved it every time! First of all, food is simply amazing and delicious. Servers always recommend their best dishes but, really, everything is delicious. Service is very nice as well. Myoko and Jelena are very pleasant and polite, they work great together, and are very knowledgeable about the food. Jelena's accent is very sweet and enchanting. Atmosphere and location are also great! All in all, it's worth dining and visit! Will definitely go back!

My wife and I came here to celebrate our anniversary; the staff was more than accommodating and the food was absolutely magnificent. I had pre-ordered a few hors d'oeuvres along with a bottle of champagne (via special instructions on open table) and the servers coursed it out for us perfectly. Rather than a single server, we had a team of servers making sure our evening was unforgettable and our glasses were never empty. I can't wait to come back and try the other menu items we didn't have room for. We're so happy that we chose Gaspar to help us celebrate - THANK YOU!!
