Out The Door

Great restaurant especially for the price / compared to slanted door. Chicken wings, spring rolls, papaya salad, steak with rice. Service left something to be desired (bar speed, replacing plates / utensils), and it’s a little too bright in the restaurant which gives it cheap wine bar vibes. Small issues though and overall great place.

Food is fabulous, service is top of the line, basic atmosphere vibe -Pricey but worth it. Having photos on the walls would be great. Blank walls all around is certainly a style but I'd say classic photos of Vietnam would be a great addition - Even black & white pics would work. Really nice, wide selection of wine, mixed drinks kinda weak, decent beer selection Staff are great - I'll definitely go back -

Very modern Vietnamese restaurant. Imperial roll was crispy & not oily. Spring roll was like other vietnamese places but the peanut sauce here was creamy & tasty. Chicken pho was very flavorful. There is choice for shredded chicken breast for customers love white meat only. Stir fry crab silver noodle was ok & not lots of crab meats given the price for $23 or $26. Ice cream here is must try, not sure if favor will change daily but if not, get the ice cream or more like sorbet texture. The favor I got that date was lime mandarin but my tastebuds told me it was kumquat. Another favorite dessert I tried here was chocolate cheesecake/pie. Smooth & creamy texture with crunchiness from pecan clusters. Foods are great & excellent customer services. For price wise, it's pricier than other vietnamese places. I think it's part of the rent given the restaurant locates at Fillmore district.

This is an offshoot of The Slanted Door down in the ferry building by Charles Phan, which used to be in the Mission. He has several restaurants in town which are usually always great. Get some rolls or dumplings, a daikon rice cake and some shaking beef or maybe some noodles. Excellent wine selection even though I'm not into Vino. Can't go wrong here.

Fancy Vietnamese fusion place with a nice upscale vibe and friendly service. I came here for brunch and tried the chicken porridge and fried chicken. The porridge was delicious, with very traditional flavors. The fried chicken was also pretty good, but wish there was something besides the pickled vegetables to balance it out. Overall, nice place and good food. I will definitely be back to try their dinner service.

Fresh and delicious. Their spring rolls are so delectable, I can eat them all day! Five spiced chicken is moist and flavorful, can't go wrong with it. Stop by during their lunch hours because many of their items are featured on the dinner menu but with a lower price. The atmosphere reflects the food, bright and vibrant. It can be a little cozy with the seating arrangement, but definitely worth a try!
