Review Tropisueno - San Francisco

My husband and I came for lunch. During this time there is no table service so you order at the counter. The food was good but too spicy for me. If you like spicy food then this is great for you. I don't like spicy food and everything was spicy except for the chips and my margarita. It's a great spot if you're in the mood for Mexican food. We ordered chips, two combination plates, and two strawberry margaritas.

Lovely place, great location, delicious food, great and lovely atmosphere and friendly service. Visitors twice in a row and service standard were kept. Great happy hour option in the city centre. Happy hour from 4 till 6 everyday!! Nachos are delicious and margaritas too!

Rating: 4.5/5 Came here for with a colleague. We each got an app and an entree. I got the salmon which I really enjoyed. It was moist and flavorful and a lot of food. I don’t know why I expected different because every time I’ve gotten Mexican, it’s been heaps of food…but the menu items always looks so good. And such was the case here too. Here’s why this place lost 0.5 star for me. For a restaurant of this size, there are only 2 unisex bathrooms so there is always a lineup to go (that we saw).

Stumbled in here during happy hour. Very happy we went! Great salsa choices (spicy finally yay!!), guac was good, steak tacos are a must! Margaritas were good too! Music was fantastic! Outdoor seating has heaters so we were happy :) service was friendly and efficient despite being packed!

It is a restaurant with a great Mexican vibe and a nice patio. You need to place your own order to the kitchen staff, and food is served to your table. Food is authentic, flavorful, and definitely made with fresh ingredients. I did not like the Baja fish taco, as fish was too dry and had a taste of old oil. Restaurant offers a nice drink menu as well. Overall, it is nice place to have good food.

Rainbow trout was so tasty, cooked beautifully, v juicy, lovely spices. Lovely rice and beans too. Scallops & plantain was very well cooked - tender scallops, perfect sweet and salt mix. Salad was crunchy and fresh - but salty. All the portions were enormous! For me, it all tasted very salty. But all in all very good. Wonderful service, fab atmosphere inside, fantastic cocktails - quite strong, delicious, great for the price especially in this area! We will definitely be back!

I had chicken enchilada, Carne solo beef and Churros. And out of three. My fave is the chicken enchilada. Carne solo beef is also good and has a huge servings. Churros is okay. Service is decent. Food arrived on time and staff is approachable.

My friend and I are visiting from Los Ángeles. We sat at the bar and had THER best time. The bartenders were so attentive and made us the best drinks. I highly recommend the Tempest (Tromba blanco, lemon juice, Chambord raspberry liqueur shaken with egg whites… think melted raspberry popsicle, but better!), La Sombra (tequila, lemon, orange, Chile tincture, cinnamon and agave), and their old-fashioned. Jesus and Carlos (the bartenders) were the best we’ve seen in SF so far.

I came here for lunch on a weekend with a party of 2 (that became 3). They had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating but the weather was so good we wanted to sit outside. They have an entire separate line for people who want a quick lunch instead of sit down service. I got the complete chicken enchilada combo and my friend got a grilled shrimp salad. We also got some chips and salsa to share. The portions were pretty decent for the price. There was some mix up with avocado vs guacamole but the server quickly resolved the issue. My friend got their margarita as well and said it was good. Would recommend for some good Mexican food!

Okay, if you want good food, this is the place, very good flavors, the trio salsas are so good, good portions, the style of serving lunch make you feel you are in Mexico, the staff are so nice too. I highly recommend
