When I was travelling in San Francisco, I had a crazy addition of Avocado Toast. When I was at the Ferry Terminal, I took a visit to Frog Hollow Farm to get a taste of their toast. They serve pastries, sweet and savoury treats, and other items. Even fresh fruit. They have a pretty small menu, but good items that people can easily grab and go at the Ferry Terminal.

The avocado toast was very filling and the juice was delicious!
The I-Like-to-be-Wrapped-Up-in-All-the-Details Version:. On Monday I treated myself out to breakfast (because why not – yogurt and berries 5 days a week isn’t exciting) and decided to walk to the Ferry Building. I chose Frog Hollow Farm and arrived at 9 am with no line and plenty of outdoor seating.
What I ordered:
I returned to SF just for this RESTAURANT!. A list of reasons to EAT HERE:
1. The empanadas de carnitas are to die for!!!! I dreamt about them for weeks!!!!
2. The tarts melt in your mouth!!!
3. The fresh orange juice is a perfect start for your morning...the coffee or vanilla latte is great, as well!!!
4. The peaches are yummy!
5. You can enjoy your breakfast by the wharf or inside.
The Best Fresh Fruit Parfaits. I went to Boulette's Larder and was eyeing the Frog Hollow fruit parfaits and all of their fresh fruit tarts and much better prices than what we were paying next door. We came back the next day and enjoyed the amazing fruit parfaits.
Amazing pastries, quiches, and jams.
I swear that Frog Hollow Farms has the best peaches and nectarines I have ever tasted. So, so, so delicious. And their tofu sandwiches are not bad either. I know some of you are not into tofu or tempeh, but these are so good here! YUM. Pretty good food. The grilled cheese and tomato soup is amazing. Definitely worth the try. The avocado toast is also really good. Customer service is debatable, it depends on the day
Yummy baked goods and great avocado toast. Lots of options and fresh produce. Prices are a little steep but that’s true in the ferry building in general. Small, communal seating available.

If you want to eat something healthy and delicious in a place with good view you must to come here. Everything is amazing, but the best is how the fruits and vegetables are cultivated, in an ecological farm. That's great!

This cute cafe was one of the eateries I had wanted to visit during my adventure to the Ferry Building, and I made sure I did. After perusing the eateries in the main hall of the Ferry Building, I eventually located this eatery, it's located on one of the side hallways, closest to the back patio area of the Ferry Building where there is a view of the Bay Bridge, the Sail Boats in the Bay, the Ferry Ticket booth, to venture to other parts of the Bay Area.
I didn't order from Frog Hollow Farm Market & Cafe until after I had located the other eatery I had bookmarked. But while I was at Frog Hollow Farm Market & Cafe, it was pretty busy. There is one small table/counter eating area with a few bar chairs, I'm guessing most customers take their food to go and eat outside. But that's merely a guess.
I ended up ordering the soup of the day which was a healthy, hearty vegan corn and squash soup. I did think the price for the bowl of soup was a little on the high side $7.50, but it is the Ferry Building, and I'm sure the rent is a bit higher. It wasn't difficult for me to make my decision on what to order, I knew I was going to sit outside to not only enjoy what I ordered, but also the warm summers' day, and the peaceful vibe of the area. I also wanted to take in the view of both the Bay Bridge and the Ships in the Bay.
The individuals who helped me the day I went, were really nice, helpful, and friendly. Before actually ordering the soup, they gave me a sample to taste first. I thought it was very cool of them to do. With the soup came 3 pieces of a toast-like bread, not sure if it was focaccia bread or not, but it went well with the soup. They also had a little bit of pesto to the soup, another fave of mine, pesto!
Frog Hollow Farm Market & Cafe's menu is pretty diverse, they even serve up Chinese teas!
Taking the time to venture out to San Francisco, having good weather and being able to enjoy that good weather, and the food ended up being perfectly wonderful, peaceful and life-giving. Looking forward to returning again soon.
I love their Avocado toast and Homemade granola. They are simple but super fresh and fantastic. I even come back to eat within a week.
Espresso was remarkable, truly. It was velvety, sweet and not at all bitter, which a slight fruity and nutty flavor, reminding us that coffee is a fruit deserving of being tasted in its own right. The pastries were beautiful. I had the blueberry pocket, which was flaky and just right. $9.50 for a pastry and an espresso by the bay. Not bad at all.
Avocado toast is unreal! Fresh and simple with amazing flavor. Delicious pastries, salads, sandwiches and drinks. A favorite. (They also have inside and outside seating)
Fantastic concept of nut loaf specially for vegetarians. Had grilled cheese and roasted tomato soup. Everything was so yummilicious that couldn't wait to click pictures of them :)
My seasonal salad was amazing! The fruit was perfectly ripe - peaches, plums, and pluots. The full order ($14) included sliced avocado which was a great combo with the rest of the salad. Lots of pastry options, plus jams and fruit available for sale. So good!
My friend said that he found the best avocado toast, ever, and I just rolled my eyes at him. He took me here to try it and I must say, he was darn right. So simple, so fresh, so buttery, so filling. It was worth every penny. Being from Boston, the avocados here are not comparable. ):
