It was a whole wonderful experience. We made a reservation in advance as you need to with this restaurant. We got a booth which my wife likes to enjoy. We chose the special 36oz steak dinner. It was well worth it. The steak was perfectly cooked and very tender indeed. The finishing touch was the peppercorn sauce we put on top. Great tasting! The tomato balsamic salad with some fish eggs was delicious, too! Not to mention the wonderful corn souffle as a side dish. Since this was our first visit, we had a lava cake dessert. All's good here. The staff was very friendly and made you feel right at home. The atmosphere was just what the doctor ordered. Great food. Great place. We will definitely come back again when we're in the City again!

I recently dined at Morton's The Steakhouse in San Francisco and I must say the food and service were remarkable. The "great service" as I'd call it, is truly commendable. The staff made sure our experience was nothing less than perfect. The "top quality of the products" was evident in every dish we ordered. The Bacon-Wrapped Scallops, which I tried, were simply the best I've ever had. The savory bacon complemented the delicate flavor of the scallops, resulting in a mouth-watering feast. Their "outstanding wine list" needs a special mention. With a wide array of choices to complement their exquisite dishes, it's a wine lover's dream. Now coming to the star of the show - the Filet Mignon. Cooked medium rare as requested, it was incredibly tender and just melted in my mouth. However, the prices do seem a bit over the top. Even though the quality and service were exceptional, I felt the cost was slightly on the higher side. It's for this reason that I'm taking a half star off. Overall, a visit to Morton's The Steakhouse in San Francisco is a must for any steak enthusiast. Just brace yourself for the bill! I give it a solid 4 stars out of 5.

Special thank you to the staff at Morton’s Steakhouse for making my 5th wedding anniversary dinner magical! From the warm welcome to the impeccable service and delicious food. Our meal was seasoned perfectly and everything we ordered was perfectly cooked and served! The entire evening was beyond perfect and we can’t wait to come back! To the distinguished concierge, beautiful hostess with the long locs, the talented Chef and our 2 servers (one of which was from Hawaii), you made our anniversary memorable, magical and extraordinary!!!! Thank you so much for an amazingly wonderful dining experience! Sincerely, Tashana & Quentin Hudspeth

As every Morton's steak house, the atmosphere was cozy and private. Right next to The Union Square, so it's very convenient for tourists. We were welcomed by a lady that I later discovered she is the general manager, she is such a classy lady 👏. Our Waiter Joseph was so friendly with a constant smile on his face. He made sure we got the smallest oysters they had, which I think is an extra step, so thank you for doing that. Also, lady with a blue jacket, Arielle ( My apology for misspronunciation) was so friendly and polite. She helped me out with our bill adjustment. Overall, it is a good place, quality food and private atmosphere, and definitely coming back.

Fillet mignon is too simple taste. (There is no multiple taste like other steak) But I love the space here. Salad was great and wine was super great. :-) I ordered 1 salad 1 steak and 1 potato. It was too much for me.

One of my favorites when in the mood for a steakhouse. Went to celebrate a couple birthdays. Steak and sides cooked to perfection. Love the old style atmosphere. Great bar and bar food if looking for something lighter.

I enjoyed the old fashioned. The medium rare steak was cooked well. I could live without the bread. The Cesar salad was not too over dressed. The sides were okay (green beans, mashed potatoes). Cheesecake was definitely freezer burned.

This Morton's is the furthest one away from us, but we LOVE it here and will drive the extra distance. Curtis, the assistant manager, is wonderful. He is always happy to stop and talk with us to make sure we are being provided the best experience possible. At our last visit, Devon and Santos took great care of us, making sure we had everything we needed. We are looking forward to our next trip out there!

Morton's is one of the best steak houses in the country. I didn't say the best I said one of the best. Good:. All (4) of our steaks were cooked perfectly. The seasoning, temperature and the extras all done great. Our two family style sides hit the spot and again cooked well. Myself and friend each had french onion soup. On this night not good. French Onion soup should have a beef base the first half of the crock we had tasted like Minestrone. We did bring this up but never really got a response. A small dish of raspberry sorbet for dessert complimented the meal

We have visited various Morton‘s in cities across the US. The quality is always consistently high, and this Morton‘s is no exception. The interior is very nice and calm, and the lighting very low, making it an intimate and pleasant dining experience. The bar at the front of the restaurant is a nice lounge-style bar, where one can enjoy a drink before eating, or simply enjoy a drink when passing by. The dress code in the restaurant is business… well it‘s California business, so probably smart casual would be the most common description of the dress code. When we visited it seemed the restaurant didn‘t enforce the dress code as people wore all sorts of outfits, some borderline to us. Yet this is also symptomatic of the SF downtown area - restaurants can‘t afford to say no to patrons anymore. The whole downtown area is in decay, and Morton‘s feel like a last outpost of civilization, at least in terms of a dining experience. Fortunately, Morton‘s is a few blocks from the worst instances of post-apocalyptic scenery which now have become so common in San Francisco. The staff was courteous, and our waiter was very nice and professional, and did his best to make us feel at home at Morton‘s. And we did feel at home. The menu is the standard Morton‘s menu, or at least we couldn‘t find many differences to Morton‘s in LV, Chicago, or Florida. We tried oysters from Washington, crab cake (yes, it‘s one), shrimp cocktail, lobster bisque, and French onion soup for appetizers. All tasted just fine but none of them gave us goose bumps. For main courses we had the seven ounce Wagyu, the rib-eye, and the eight-ounce filets. All were cooked exactly to our liking. As sides we had garlic mashed potatoes, matchstick truffle fries, and creamed spinach. We pared this with a Cakebread cabernet sauvignon which was spectacular. All in all, the dinner was very nice and everything met our expectations. However, nothing really exceeded our expectations either. It simply isn‘t going to be one of those dining experiences that we will talk about as a highlight. (Which we used to do about dinners at Farallon, a restaurant which now is closed, and used to be a neighbor to Morton‘s). Nowadays, having a meal like this is has become quite expensive. The rib-eye alone was $75. All in all, the bill ended at $900 for four persons (including tip). It was a great meal, but we also didn‘t find it spectacular. In fact, for the prices Morton‘s is charging, you can find better steak options elsewhere in San Francisco. But if you want a no-frills, great steak dinner, Morton‘s is a good option to consider. Ambience: 5/5 Staff: 4/5 Food: 4/5 Wine menu: 5/5 Price/quality: 2/5 (very pricey but high quality)
