As Indonesian, I must say that this place has delicious foods! I don't think these foods are Americanize. For being so far from the origin, Borobudur serves and tries their best to present the authentic Indonesian food. Once you get inside the restaurant, you can feel that the place has some Indonesian vibes. The staffs were friendly. And I think the location is also pretty easy to find.

I love Indonesian food! It has got a unique flavor all it’s own. Kinda like Burmese but also completely unique. This restaurant is totally authentic and has a huge variety of dishes and flavors to try. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tasted here so far. Especially the coconuts dessert drinks, so yum! Whenever I am hungry in the downtown area this spot is at the top of my list :-)

Small Indonesian restaurant located in downtown SFO. Service is good and menu has lots of options. Food tastes good but somehow tastes lot modified and not exactly as authentic Indonesian food. I didn’t taste sweet soya sauce in fried rice at all which is typical Indonesian taste for most of their food. Still good to go and have cravings satisfied.

I am always looking for Southeast Asian food because it's my comfort food, and as soon as I saw the menu here, I couldn't contain my glee. There is so much to try! I opted to try their spicy shrimp paste nasi goreng with the salted fish, which was a wonderful medley of flavor that had just the right amount of kick. The nasi uduk lengkap combo was also a fantastic way to introduce us to a few of the dishes, and to me the honey beef was the winner, but everything was excellent. The murtabak was also tasty, and so were the sweets. The es teler is a great choice on a warm day, but beware the roti prata manis: it's a huge roti dessert sandwich, filled with peanuts, chocolate, cheese, and condensed milk. Good if you like all these ingredients, but very dense. Service was pleasant and readily available. Overall, I would recommend this spot, and I am looking forward to exploring more of the menu. UPDATE: Tried all new items, and all were hits. The fried tofu appetizer was a perfectly balanced treat of tasty seasoning, light, crispy exterior, and soft interior. The fried chicken dumplings were basically like chicken meatballs--also delicious. The roti prata was huge and satisfying, paired with yummy curry. Last but not least, the curry lamb was soft and flavorful, paired with fragrant coconut rice. Slam dunk again!

Place is closing at the end of Sept since the owner is retiring. If you want to go, need to go soon Food was great. Our Indonesian uber driver recommended the place and we greatly enjoyed it. For me, it was the first time trying out Indonesian food. Unfortunately, after this place closes, there will be no more Indonesian focused restaurant in the Bay area.

What a gem! I walked past this a year ago and finally gone in to have a taste. I have to say it is really good! Truly authentic! Best beef rendang in the western world in some cases, better than some of the restaurants serving the same dish in singapore! We ordered the Rijsttafel set. Omg even the soto ayam was authentic! Can’t go wrong with this place. Their cendol dessert gets sold out early so order it with your mains. We’ll try that next time. This place is worth your money if you are craving for Indonesian food! We’ll be back next visit!

A little pricey but it tastes great! I got honey marinated chicken and coconut rice, which were delicious. Don't forget to get the bubur hitam dessert. Anything with coconut milk, you can't go wrong.

Lovely place to eat Indonesian food which are not many in SF nor USA. Prices range from $15 to 20ish, quite reasonable. The owner and waiters are all Indonesian which is nice! The taste is also pretty much Indonesian not so different with the food in the origin country. Delicious! I'd recommend this place. The location is also strategic and the decor is lovely and traditional indonesian.

Good foods, coming for lunch with my friend. Ordered 'ayam bumbu rujak'; 'gulai kambing'; and two cendol (ice drink). My recommendation is to try 'ayam bumbu rujak' (rich in spices) and ice cendol (if you like a sweet drink), really recommended & the 'gulai kambing' not really suit my taste.

Had fried noodles, rice dish, and grilled chicken skewers with peanut sauce. All for $45. A little pricey but pretty tasty.
