Wow this place is an experience for sure. Mac and cheese was super tasty and creative. My T-bone steak was off the charts delicious but the pumpkin cheese they had took the win. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

The restaurant looks nice, unfortunately we didn’t make reservation hence seated by the bar. The steak is good but pretty expensive for the quality. The restaurant was busy that night and hence took quite a while for someone to serve us.

Alexander’s is steakhouse by name, but for us it was more of an experience! The Bone Marrow & Escargot was delicious, the sides were equally delicious…. Now, we get to the meat. Due to the $$ amount listed on the menu and the way the menu reads at a glance we were under the impression that we ordered a 30oz. steak, it actually ended up being 3oz. of wet seasoning & 3oz. of dry rubbed seasoning. Don’t get me wrong, the meat was Amazing and Delicious BUT if I’m going to pay as much as we did I prefer to not leave hungry. Was definitely a Great Experience!!

We had a great experience with Albert as our server Friday evening. All the flavors were wonderfully paired, the menu had just the right amount of options without feeling overwhelming. This is definitely a place to go treat yourself, it can be considered pricey if you're not used to fine dining like this.
My husband and I enjoyed an Porterhouse Steak together, a side of truffle mashed potatoes (so good! A must have!) as well as a side of the asparagus. We had escargot as our appetizer, and the S'mores dessert!
Thank you Albert for such a great experience we will be back.

We had the best anniversary dinner. Everything was beautifully plated. Amazing presentation and so so so good! You really get what you pay for. My partner and I both got Chef’s Tasting which comes with 8 courses. We also ordered a few drinks on the side which were very good and also had a beautiful presentation.
The servers were extremely attentive. They saw me struggling to take a selfie with my partner and immediately came to the rescue and got us some amazing photos at the table.
We are genuinely in awe of the service, the food and the drinks. We also received a to go box (1each) of a small snack to take home that includes a small jar of butter and jam and a tea bag. The experience does not end until you are home.
Thank you to the servers and to the chef for an amazing, unforgettable experience. It was definitely worth the price.

Luxurious evening, for sure! Nice steak options to pick from. Nice thick cuts. Well seasoned. Excellent sears. Consistent quality. Aged meats are well prepared here, flavours are enhanced well to accentuate the richer body of flavour. Good standard sides. Good portion for sharing. Good sauces.

Think modern steakhouse atmosphere and service with a twist on the menu with japanese influences. Definitely a fine dining experience and the price reflects that. Steak was cooked to perfection as expected. Food quality and taste were good as well. Nothing to write home about but a solid meal. Service was top-notch.

Best date night ever!!! From our host Patrick, to the food, and ambiance. Everything was spectacular!!! I will be coming back again! We ordered the most buttery steak ever that melted in our mouths and the best ribeye ever! The quality, the flavors, the way the food was presented was exceptional. Amazing food, very curated and exceptional presentation and flavor. Amazing wine and cocktail selections! Do try the wine pairings if you get the chefs tasting menu - the Sommelier is very knowledgeable. Special shout out to our lovely waiter Alessandro. Even in training, he provided excellent service - very proficient in his knowledge and really made our night! The manager was also very attentive and welcoming. All around a stellar experience. 10/10 will come back.

Love this place. Food is awesome and service is amazing. I took my wife here for her Birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We ordered the hamachi shots and had some courses and steaks / prime rib. Everything was prepared perfectly. Social Distance made all of our dining experiences more intimate and private; we felt much more special and eating indoors. All wait staff were in masks and were so gracious to us. Will be back!!

Premium dinning experience, this is a great place for celebrations and special occasions. I enjoyed the sub-$100 ribeye (amazingly flavored) more than the $200 wagyu, so definetly get that if you've had wagyu in the past!

We had a fantastic dinner at the restaurant. The sea bass was cooked perfectly soft and tender. Also porterhouse steak was super flavorful and juicy. They also gave us free dessert for the anniversary. Amazing service and great staffs. Will come again definitely.

The complimentary amuse bouche at the start of the meal is an unexpected explosion of flavors.
The ribeye and filet were pitch perfect and done exactly as asked. The ribeye with bone marrow on the side was juicy and tasty.
The complimentary dessert of chocolate and a blueberry cotton candy was a perfect ending.
The service was discrete, anticipatory and never intrusive.

Very modern open architectural design. They have a cocktail area in front and the main dining on the main floor and upstairs. The wine selection is extensive as well. I’ve dined here for prime rib, Wagyu, and their annual Wagyu A5 prefix dinner. Always an enjoyable experience here.

Man, this place was amazing. Halal steak was great but the SERVICE. I was treated the best I ever have been with a restaurant or really any business. My only regret was I didn’t bring enough money to tip the servers more, they deserve everything and more.
When I’m back in San Francisco, I will make sure I’m back here.

It's VERY pricey as others have said, so let's get that out of the way.
Food taste was quite good. 28 day Dry aged NY Strip was cooked perfectly to my liking, although I expected a more robust dry aged flavor. Hunter soup was great, but the bowl was exponentially bigger than the amount of soup. Side of fries tasted great and good sized portion. Golden Warrior cocktail was perfect. A lot of little extras from the kitchen and my server.
I went there on a Saturday early eve with the place mostly full and it was truly the best service I've ever experienced. An empty plate didn't stay on the table longer than 1 minute and a half empty water glass never not filled within 2 minutes. Kudos to my server and also the entire service staff.

Absolutely everything about this dinner was a treat! My boyfriend brought me for my birthday, and it was a phenomenal experience I'll remember for a very long time!
Started with a divine glass of bubbly. Our server was very attentive to helping ensure we didn't order dishes with gluten in them.. my lack of migraine today appreciates his attention to detail!
Appetizer: chilled foie gras
Course One: Duck egg chawanmushi
Course Two: abalone and foie gras
Main course: fillet mignon with a side of wild mushrooms
Dessert: the soufflé without graham crackers, and some passion fruit ice cream and other deliciousness, with a London Cap to drink. (OMG.)
The sommelier was delightful, helping us pick a wine that paired splendidly. Even more amazing was the glass of port to finish our meal. Oh my heaven.
So many parts to rave about. If you want a memorable dining experience for a special occasion, come to Alexander's!

The word steakhouse may give you the wrong idea. Yes they do steaks, but not your average this that and the other. Had the 7-course Wagyu themed tasting menu with a great bottle of Litterai Pinot Noir. All and all probably the most expensive dinner I ever had, but that aside, had an amazing experience. Each course an explosion of taste. Excellent service. Can certainly recommend but bring a thick wallet.

The food was absolutely incredible. The staff was great, always making sure I had everything I needed. They were very knowledgeable, prompt, and very kind. The Kobe and Wagyu were beyond delicious. The bites the chef sent out before the meal were divine and a very nice touch. So many flavors, a wonderful atmosphere, amazing staff, and just a fabulous overall experience. My only regret was not ordering enough wagyu. Prime cuts and their salt choices give each bite a different flavor profile.
Alexander's is truly a culinary experience. One of the few restaurants I don't mind dropping $$$$ on.

My wife gave them 2 stars and I give them 3, she ordered wagyu 3 oz steak, she thinks it was fatty low quality Japanese steak. I ordered Rib eye and my steak was very good. Service was excellent, the waiter was very profesional.

This is my 5th visit here and it just never disappoints. There's a reason it's in the top 3 steak houses in San Fran. The steak choices are vast and the flavours are top notch.
