My sister an I LOVED this place visiting from Massachusetts. Great music, ambiance, food and best of all drinks! We love our bourbon cocktails hehe. The brussel sprouts were to die for best I've had!

I stopped in for lunch on a Friday. It was a great choice and well worth the 15 min walk from Pier 1. The food was amazing! The chef even made special pasta dishes for my kids. I especially loved the Cherry Cocktail, the Unicorn Tuna Tartar and the Brussel Sprouts were to die for!

I did not try any food, but went with off menu classics like a Manhattan, and asked for a floral but not sweet gin cocktail and was given the Pegu Club, along with some great background of the drinks origin. Everything you'd want out of a small corner saloon with 6ish bars seats and 5 or so tables. I saw someone enjoying what looked like oysters, but did not get a chance to browse the menu. From the looks of it, we are talking about a refined cocktail bar with a wide array of potions at their disposal. I see lots of rum, gin and other spirits you'd expect in a place like this. Well done, thank you for the pick me up. Update: came back again on a Friday night. Super friendly staff, friendly patrons and a wonderful Pimm's cup!

It’s rare to be so impressed by cocktails and this was definitely the case for me and my friends. This is a fantastic space to spend time sipping cocktails, especially with great live music as we had last Friday. Every time I come here, as soon as I leave I start planning to go back.

We stumble upon this classic looking bar while strolling along North Beach / Chinatown. And now it becomes our favorite bar. The bartender Kent is a super skillful mixologist. Tell him what you feel like, and he will make you a delicious drink that is both surprising and delightful. The food was also excellent. The caviar bite is totally out of this world even though it's a $10 bite. Most importantly the vibe is totally cool. The classic and historic look of this bar totally bring you back to the 1900s. We will definitely come back again and would highly recommend it.

Just randomly walked by and decided to give it a try and it's awesome. Most of the stars goes to our bartender Kent, now he's my favorite bartender in San Francisco. We actually ordered some cocktails not on the menu, instead of giving us the most easy Margarita, Kent actually made us 3 different kinds of tequila which is rarely to see on a bar menu. And it's tasty. Food is surprisingly good as well. Can't wait to go back to try the caviar bite. And the uniforms of the style somehow made us feel like London in a short moment Now it's my favorite bar in SF.

Definitely has that old time saloon feel to it which I quite enjoyed. I tried a classic off their menu and was bummed to get a cocktail on draft. Although lovely in flavor and aroma, I ended up with a drink that was limp and disappointing in texture. I will say, just watching the bartenders, you can tell they have a decade or two of experience. I should have ordered something off menu or a bartenders choice and likely been more impressed. I might give it another shot when I'm back in the area.

I read a lot of reviews about thebplace before deciding to go. But because we stumbled into this place and we were told they had jazz we did go back the next day. We had an amazing time between 6 and 8 pm it was busy with young people which always have to be loud. After they left and the jazz started it was a great place to listen to music and have a great conversation butvalos great food and good drinks. We tried the Sazerac and beer. We ate I think have the food menu and everything thing we ordered was amazing. Service well we realized that SF is a weird place and service is not top notch but we did not not have anything to complain about the Comstock. Oysters good, chicken liver mouse good, caviar bite good, hearts of romaine salad with chicken good, dynamo spiced chocolate donut to die for.

Fave bar in San Francisco¡ Again for the second time and I'm so glad to see that made it through the pandemia. The service continues being excellent, the drinks super well prepared and they had a free delicious soup free for two drinks. Bartender's are super nice. The place continues to be the same with a great bar and wood boots. They have a band that plays regularly. I don't remember the days they play, but it's almost every day! Great surprise to be in here again. Will visit again and every time I visit San Francisco.

A cool cozy place to grab a drink. The bar is the place to be at. The Boothy (bourbon, sweet vermouth, Angostura bitters, and bubbly) was my Cocktail choice of the night. What's interesting is that they have a rare bottle list that they will sell (but the prices are a bit steep in my opinion). Overall, cool place to stop by for a drink.

Love to see the band gaocho on Friday nights. Even though it's not the best venue for live music as they are up on a balcony almost impossible to see and the crowd is loud as the band is kinda background but killer jazz acoustic guitar usually 3-4 piece. Get play several times a week in more band centric locations. Service is awesome through out the staff. Fun old school north beach experience.
