This place is the most reliable, not trendy, classy and delicious spot for a great meal with friends at night or work stuff during the day. I’ve been many times over the years and can’t say enough about the delicious food, attentive five star service and the ambiance. Really impressed this time of year by the Christmas feel- definitely perfect for a chill, top-notch holiday meal with friends. Love it!
Amazing value. Perfect atmosphere and good food. Good prices. I got the half chicken over potatoes and it was a lot of food. Staff was friendly and made no mistakes, very efficient. Perfect dinner no complaints

Just had dinner with a friend here. The decor for the holidays is so lovely! We had a wonderful server. But the highlight of the night was the fish and chips. BEST I’VE EVER HAD. Even better than the UK. Truly outstanding. I can’t stop thinking about it!
We were in San Francisco for the night and decided to dine here after reading the reviews. Our experience was wonderful. The ambience was great. Our server- Mr. Hugo T was very attentive and the professional. The food was simply exquisite. We will definitely come back to dine here and recommend it to our family and friends. I love the Cavalier. The food is the main attraction here with a good selection of British inspired dishes. We especially love the devil eggs, brussel sprout chips, grilled salmon and the burgers. The restaurant is tucked away, which makes it feel even more intimate. If you're in this part of town and want an intimate, yummy dinner, The Cavalier is your spot.
I thought this would be over priced pub grub... So wrong! Service was attentive and knowledgeable and not overbearing. Drinks were delicious with small twists on familiar themes. Fish and chips were light and not greesy. Smoked deviled eggs were delicious. I wish they just came in bigger sets so I didn't feel like a glutton ordering so many. Oysters were exceptional. So Fresh and the minonette with a little lemon was bright and so yummy. Everything else was so tasty. I'll be back.
Service is impeccable and the atmosphere is lovely. I was disappointed in the food given the price, although the texture on the beef fat fries was lovely. We tried the pickled deviled eggs, the steak frites, and the pole beans. Their strength clearly lies in the drinks- we had the melon blanc and trolleyed, both of which were very spirit-forward.
We are so happy to have gone with The Cavalier to host our post-wedding private dining event and making the process as smooth as possible— we really appreciated their willingness to work with us on the menu customization to meet the needs of our family members! The food was incredibly delicious and the service by Eva & rest of the staff was excellent!
We came here for dinner with family and had a wonderful time. I love the decor! My husband and some of his family members are from London so they enjoyed the London inspired aspects. The service, food and atmosphere were good. Some family members claimed "their fries are the best!"
Romantic, intimate location with style. Amazing, customer oriented service. We walked in on Thursday evening, with a reservation and we’ve got seated right away. The waiter approached us immediately with water and ready to answer any qs we might have. Great collection of unique cocktails 🍸 well done too! And the food... just amazing! The main dishes had a good size and were super delicious! My husband absolutely loved his pan seared scallops ♥️
