Review Cafe La Tazita - San Francisco

Friendly food. Vegan and vegetarian were both pleased. The tofu breakfast was good, though it needed seasoning. Cafe latte with oat milk was yummy, as well.

Fine little cafe close to Union Square. Good coffee, nice breakfast menu, friendly staff. Just a few tables on the main floor but additional seating upstars. Also a couple tales for sidewalk seating. Well worth a visit.

Cozy little place with upstairs seating. We ordered Mexican Mocha (one of Them decaf). Hot with just the right amount of spice. Will come back for breakfast when in the area again.

Cute, cozy coffee shop with friendly atmosphere, nice staff, good food, good prices and a nice 2nd floor lounge area. Great place to grab a coffee and get some work done. Coffee was really terrific for how affordable it was, recommend the mocha blanca!

A great place for breakfast, they have fresh (and I mean really fresh) bagels, very good coffee and also a vast assortment of other breakfast classics with eggs, bacon, toast etc. The place is small but has a great seating area upstairs as well. It is superclean and the owners/the staff are very, very friendly. This is now my go-to place for breakfast when I am in San Francisco.

Had the Valencia breakfast burrito in a spinach tortilla and it was the bomb . Expect a huge yummy portion!

Great breakfast options—I got a burrito with chorizo and fresh bell peppers. It was excellent. Good coffee too.

Bagels for the morning were delicious but also some of their sweet bars, the one with pecans, and chocolate coconut, I bought and brought back home… they were super tasty. Followed the young lady’s advice and warmed them up a bit before we ate them and they were explosive in the mouth.

The location is good. The service is great. I got the over medium eggs with latte. The drink and the eggs tasted great. The place certainly needs some renovation and seems a bit run down . Will probably come again.

Great place for breakfast, coffe or what you wish. A few steps from Union square but very reasonable prices. Loved it.

Good for a quick bite close to the Grey Line Tour Office. Do not expect much for ambiance or taste but it is cheap (15$ per person with tax and tip). You order and pay at the entrance, they bring the plates to your table. More tables upstairs to sit. I only had breakfast, they didn’t ask how I preferred my eggs and the scrambled eggs they served was mediocre. Potatoes needed a bit more cooking. Good coffee. Sandwiches did look much better. However, I do not recommend.

My husband and I ate at Cafe La Taza for breakfast and chose it because it was just a couple doors down from our hotel. We were so glad we did and would have gone back if it wasn't our last day in San Francisco. The portions were large and everything was so delicious. The prices were also great - especially for the amount of food they serve! We drove the PCH from San Diego to San Francisco and this was the best breakfast (and best value) we had by far!

Grab a quick breakfast before we went on tour as place is near the Gray Line Tours office. Surprisingly good breakfast and coffee. We ordered the oats and the omelette with fruits.

Small little place close to Union Square, I took my order to go during lunch even though there was plenty of seating. I ordered a Churrasco, which was a special of the day involving Skirt Steak, Sauteed Green Beans with Cherry Tomatoes, and Chimichurri Fries. The food was absolutely fantastic, I noticed quite a few people getting coffee so I might grab breakfast from them next!

Honestly all I have had is their Americano, but it is always delicious. Every time I stop in it's always crowded that's a good sign.

Delicious! The service was quick and employees were friendly! We loved our hot and iced lattes we ordered, and our breakfast sandwiches were great as well! Cute little cafe!

My partner and I wandered over here for breakfast. My breakfast burrito was ordinary. My partners toast, eggs over easy and sausages tasted like reheated food and the eggs were not done correctly. Wouldn't go back.

We had the Texas Scramble, and it was amazing. The fresh squeezed orange juice was very authentic, and all of the food was well prepared quickly and tasted great!!! Highly recommended

Excellent breakfast! Loved my scrabble eggs w/ fresh feta, spinach, tomato and olive. Great late! Clean and quaint. Will come back for sure!

Located near the public hub of Union Square, this quaint little cafe was an exciting find for my family and I while visiting the city. The cashier was friendly, the food was excellent, and although seating was limited, this was a great spot to stop for a quick, delicious breakfast. The Veggie Burrito and the Super Croissant, as well as the coffee, is highly recommended.

Such a sweet little cafe!. I have a habit of talking to strangers... so happy that I asked the pharmacy people in Walgreen's where I should eat lunch. They both recommended Cafe La Taza and pointed me in the right direction.

I forgot the name of the salad I ordered, but it was fantastic with shrimp, avocado, and all sorts of yummy things, with a homemade zippy remoulade dressing. It was delicious and days later I'm still thinking about it!

My friends enjoyed their meals too - a pesto panini, and some sort of wrap that looked quite awesome... and a bagel.

When I come back to SF with my husband for a weekend I will definitely take him to Cafe La Taza for lunch one day!

Most congenial coffee house within a half-mile of Union Square. In a neighborhood that's as diverse as this, the general rule is, little non-chain places have pretty uniform customers.

Café La Taza had a cool blend of guys-with-ties and their female analogues, bicycle messengers, Tenderloin types and tourists. Wow...great blended demographics.

The coffee was good not great, the service was delightful (more gracious than efficient), the tables squeezed a little close together out of the necessity of this property's side-to-side svelteness.

The food choices looked and smelled very good, but I stopped for coffee not food. Some of the baked goods were clearly home made ("home" here means not produced on an industrial scale nor bought as big sheets and cut up).

A sweet find, and I'll go back regularly when I'm in the neighborhood.
