I went to Ruth's Steak house with my husband and kids. We are from Kerala, India and were here for vacation. We ordered New York strip, stuffed chicken and baked potatoes. Yummy.... Great food and excellent service, đź‘Ťđź‘Ť no words to explain. We all loved it. All food lovers, It's a great place to visit. Don't miss it.

Amazing steaks! Cooked to order, I got the 16oz New York strip steak. It was beautifully broiled and cooked to my liking! I had the Brussel sprouts for a side and the Mushroom stuffed with crab meat for an appetizer...they were amazing!! Service was on point, never left wanting, but highly recommend reservations! They were turning away many folks because they did not have a reservation on a Saturday.

DELICIOUS MEAT.
The bill adds up QUICK. With that said, the service is excellent and everything tastes very good. The steaks are extremely flavorful and worth every penny.
The only problem with this place is the lighting. It's wayyyy too dim. Can't see sh*t. I get the whole mood and ambiance part of it, but there's a fine line between classy and dark.
All in all, we had a great time and would definitely recommend checking this place out!

I gave this location a 4 star because the bathrooms were out dated and it was very very loud! I was sitting with a table of 4 we couldn't even hear each other talk! They were so drunk!
The food was delicious đź‘Ś I can't wait to order the steak next time! We ordered the Stuffed chicken..it exploded when I put my knife thru it! The Lobster Mac n Cheese was fire!!!! The sweet Potato casserole was ok! We had Asparagus also. For all of that was about $85. They will park your car for $15-20. It was a very busy night very crowded.

The place isn't as busy on a Sunday night as House of Prime Ribs down the street. Probably not the best steak I've had, but is still quite tasty and juicy, overall I give the steak at 3.5/5
We were told the sides were large enough for 2 people, now I don't know what type of people eats here, but the mashed potatoes was definitely a serving of one in my appetites standard. As far as the taste, it was quite good but the flavor of the steak overpowers it.
The calamari is a must. One of my favorites now possibly. This is what brought my ratings to a 4. I would come back here just for the calamari tbh.

At the Ruth’s Chris Steak House the steak was very tender and tasty. We had a NY strip in-bone filet. We shared it and they made the cut at the table. The service was really nice. The waitresses came to chat with us. They guided us through the menu and gave their different recommendations. It was a really good experience.
Pls like my review if you found it useful.

My first time at this location. Thank God for Valet, because I would reconsider eating here if I had to find my own parking. It is located on a very busy VanNess street. But once you're inside, you are in total foodie heaven. We were seated in timely manner, we did make reservations. Our drinks and appetizers are brought out fairly quickly. Our steak was of course, sizzling and scrumptious. Really good and attentive servers. We will be returning in the near future.

My excellent waiter make the difference from moving from previous 4 Stars to 5 today. Food are always good there. We came in early for a 5:30pm reservation, waiter has plenty of time to serve us.

I went to Ruth's Chris' special Cocktail dinner with clients. We were placed in a side room where an alcohol specialist from Florida described the different cocktails that we would drink throughout the night. It was the first time they hosted such an event, and I think it was well planned, but poorly executed.
What I mean by that is that people made reservations for the cocktail not, and many did not show. From my experience from many events hosted by other places like Chase Insider, all people are required to pay prior to coming. Because they did not have to pay, half did not show up, which made the event look weak for my clients (they were wondering why it was half empty).
The meal overall was tasty. The steak was good - on par with other Ruth Chris restaurants I have attended. The shrimp cocktail for an app was probably the best. They were very kind to replace the steak with salmon for those in our party who could not eat the meat.
The service was on par. Nothing spectacular since the room was set-up awkwardly (they had to pass us the plates and we had to take them mid-air). Again, first time planning the event.
I would come back here for another event. The GM also came out to welcome everybody, which was a very nice touch.

Went with a group of co-workers right at 4:30 when they opened. The appetizers were really tasty, especially the calamari. I got the New York Strip Steak and the Brussels sprouts. The steak was good and the sprouts were fine, but neither really knocked my socks off. The strip steak was a bit large for me, so next time I'd get one of smaller steaks. The key lime pie dessert was delicious.

The steak was tender and juicy. The portion was quite huge for non petite ones, so I ended up sharing with others. The plate was hot so don't touch it after they serve you the plate. The service was great and reasonably quick (we were here around 5—6PM). There was a dress code where you can't wear hat for some reason. Also, there was a valet service in front of this restaurant if you're planning to drive here (at the time, it was $15)

Right outside of the Polk gulch on the 101 this classic southern style steak house boasts casual dining with high quality fare. Favorites include blue cheese olive dirty martini at the bar. Can’t go wrong with the steaks and sides. A bit shy of fine dining but does the trick.

Amazing steaks and great appetizers. Service and cocktailing could have been better though.

Super great restaurant. It is a bit expensive but it is worth going there for a special night. It was the best steak ever I had.

Great atmosphere, clean place and kind people. Steak was juicy and hot buttered plates for steak was special. Dessert menu was fantastic, too.

Great place

We have been to Ruth's Chris steakhouses around and with one exception (and it wasn't this one!) have never been disappointed.

Bizarre thing is I have never had a steak yet and nor has my sister - mainly because the stuffed chicken breast is in my opinion absolutely superb and the crab cakes are wonderful as well.

Staff here were great and really loved the place.

Went as part of the family holiday to San Francisco. Steak was amazing, had the petit rib eye, which was cooked perfectly. Surprise dish of the day was the sweet potato side with a pecan crumb. Delicious!

Came for the steak and we weren't disappointed. Top quality, but for the price it better be. Service was excellent, place was very busy. We'll go back.

No Thanks. Caesar salad was bland.. Gazpacho on the other hand was just spicy.. Shrimp were completely overcooked... meat was ok had similar at Outback for less $$.. sides were something you get at a Deli.. highlight were the desserts especially the cheesecake.. and the service.. but at the end the price to value ratio didn't add up for this customer..

Chop Salad, Petite Filet, Sweet Potato Casserole...mmm!. Service at Ruth's Chris in SF was flawless and their Petite Filet turned me into a steak-eater. :) Love their Chop Salad and their Sweet Potato Casserole is really, really good...you can have it with dinner or it's equally as good for dessert!

Although I was never really a "steak" person, DH and I decided to try Ruth's Chris because he loves steak and what better way to try to convert me than by taking me to a restaurant known for their excellent steaks?
