Great place for sausages and beer! We ordered the Sausage Sampler ($32) served with house made pickled veggies. Also ordered the "All Day" sandwich. The maple ginger sausage in the All Day was our favorite from the sampler too. After finishing it all we were pretty full but had just enough room to split 2 desserts, 3 ways.. the bread pudding was good, caramel and bananas. The deep fried cookie dough and ice cream was lovely. Especially enjoyed the sprinkle of pink Himalayan salt... The perfect note to end on.

Food was good. I especially liked the pickled veg. Beer selection is great. Menu isn't very extensive but I'm sure the menu changes often. Everyone in our party was satisfied with what they ordered. Service was mildly underwhelming. I guess I'm always a little off put by places that expect you to pay and add gratuity before you ever get your food. Loved the aesthetic of the place.

Such a great spot for craft beer or wine and small plates. The atmosphere is amazing, staff are very friendly and helpful. The food that came out of the kitchen was delicious. We had a pretzel and a sausage sampler. The lamb sausage won my heart.

Excellent craft beers and sausage sandwiches. 20+ craft beers to choose from and nice food variety too for a gastro pub. Service was very attentive and friendly, and there are plenty of seats for small and large groups. Will definitely come back.

We got to Hogwash at 11 am and were so happy to be the first ones here! What a flavorful journey...fried avocado what??? Amaze balls!!! From the beet and goat cheese dipping sauce starters to the sausage plate with two slaws to the mustard and spicy sauces, I was in heaven! The only disappointment is that they don’t serve fried pickles during lunch; they are only available during dinner. Walk up counter ordering, seat yourself. Floors are smooth so a wheelchair will roll on in. Music was a little on the loud side so if you have someone in your party that has hearing difficulties it might not be the right spot. I highly recommend coming and enjoying this awesome restaurant!

A truly interesting take on sausage sandwiches (no, they're not hot dogs!). I had the Burning Brock, a chicken sausage with a good kick to it. Great food, great service. What more is there?

Hogwash is a gastropub with a cozy and classy atmosphere that was not too noisy. The service was very good, and the staff was very friendly. They have an enormous selection of craft beers, ciders, and wines that suit anyone's tastes! We tried the Stem Salted Cucumber Apple Cider and the Adobe Blueberry Sour. Great place to hang out!

Selection of beers is quite impressive. Start off with their Kolsch. It's creamy with no bitterness to it. Excellent to pair with their habañero chicken sausage sandwich and curry fries.

Great food and good for groups. Try the sausage platter. The beer selection makes it a reliable stop. The owner will often pot Dodgers games on at the bar.

The Burnin' Brock is a great (and big) sandwich (a warning, it might be hot for some people).
My only issue is that service could be a a bit better.

Went on a Sunday night. . . Got busy right away. Had the chicken sausage for me and the meatless one for my fiancee and both were great, the sausages were moist and the sandwich itself was well thought of. We ordered a couple of sides, the beets and the pickled veggies, the pickled veggies were fresh and nice but we found the beets a little too oily, I guess they fried it would have been better if it was baked. . . The drink selection was amazing, a lot to choose from for everyones different palates. The vibe for me was ok, with high tables on one side and a communal table on the other. A good spot for a casual night out for drinks and comfort foods. If you love sausages and beer, this is the perfect place to go just off of Union Square.

The beer selection is so on point! The chicken sausage have a spicy kick - and the fried avocado is such a hit! Curious to try the choc chip cookie with bacon in it. But beware - the food is heavy so come with an appetite!

Hogwash has a great vibe and atmosphere. The restaurant only serves sausages, but has a great selection. The abe from froman is what drew us here. They have great bread for the sandwiches, it was fresh and tender. All the sausage meals were links not just one large sausage. The fries were excellent, hot and fresh, crispy and tender. The homemade sauces and catchup was excellent. They have a great selection of wine and beer and offer mixed drinks also. Pricing was fair for the amount of food. When I am back in San Francisco I would definitely eat here again.

For Fourth of July weekend, I stumbled into Hogwash. I’ve been here many times and it’s consistently delicious, fun and fulfilling in terms of your sausages and beers. This reminds me of one of my favorite all time sausage places, Hot Doug’s in Chicago - sadly, now closed.
I highly recommend coming in here for the sausage plate and fries.
If you like the big sausage on a roll kind of thing, please try the Sheepish - mouthwateringly delicious. If you like lamb, you won’t be let down.

The people here are wonderful. Everyone is friendly and funny. Precise menu but with every option sounding delicious it still took me forever to decide on the All Day, with the help of the hostess. The duck egg was the perfect addition to a sweet/savory sausage sandwich. Superior beer selection and the most reasonable prices since I arrived in San Fran. Unbelievable quality for the price point.

So in UT, we have Chipotle Monday or Wednesday (the 1 day of the week my husband "cooks") ... now that we are moving to San Francisco, we have decided it will be Hogwash Wednesday. Scottie is the best Bar Tender EVER and the food is off the hook fabulous! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Great neighborhood vibe, awesome people, exceptional service in a very relaxed environment, and the food is truly spectacular.

Hogwash was the perfect spot for my husbands 30th birthday celebration! When Mother Nature brought a rainstorm the weekend we were planning on camping out with 20 friends, we were without a plan and no place to celebrate. I called Hogwash to see if they could accommodate our group, and not only did they save my husbands birthday weekend- they really helped make it a truly memorable night! The food (I had the chicken sausage), beer selection and service was nothing short of incredible! Our friends loved Hogwash too! They even helped with serving the cake we brought to celebrate... went completely above and beyond! :) Thank you so much Nick and Paula for having us and making Brandon's birthday so special!!
