Had the pleasure of being brought here to experience the last night of service before they close down and I enjoyed it. The staff is like family as I watched dozens of customers hug and kiss hello. The owner was present and greeted guests as they entered. The mood was bittersweet as this establishment has been here for many years and it shows as people wait in line to dine and say their goodbyes. Food, cocktails, and the vibe are amazing.

Nice classy upscale place. We actually ended up here because my bro was in town and coming here for a wedding. Plenty of reservations were available relatively last minute. The service and food is pretty good here, but quite pricey for the quantity. The desserts were my favorite. The basque cheesecake is pretty good.

Dinner with a friend at the bar here. The atmosphere sets the right balance of refinement without being pretentious. The bartender wasn’t very knowledgeable about the wine list and made a mistake on the order, but they fixed it right away with sincere apology and making it up to us. That’s the sign of good service. I nightly recommend the rack of lamb. Tender, flavourful, and perfectly cooked. The tuna rilette was also delicious with smoky notes. I’d go back again!

Very nice place, the service is great and the food was amazing. The cocktails are nicely crafted. My chicken was a little dry on my salad, but other then that it was supreme. I would definitely go back and try dinner.

Visited Piperade for the first time with my team. Ordered the rib eye steak which was cooked perfectly, and tried the traditional gateau basque, warm chocolate cake and caramel custard for desserts. Quite the experience in Basque cuisine.

absolutely amazing. from service, to ambiance, to our meal. everything was perfect! we’ve been craving basque food since we visited Biarritz last year and this took us right back. Do yourself a favor and come here for dinner — you won’t regret jt!

Very grown-up ambience with wooden interior decor. The waiter recommended a great red wine called Tepranilln, and the food in general was delicious. I highly recommend the mushroom tartlet and the stuffed piquillo pepper with goat cheese for appetizer, and for dessert both the caramel custard and the organic blossom beneigets were amazing.

After researching several SF restaurants that could provide private dining for 20-30 people I chose Piperade and I am very glad I did. Between Stephanie (event planner) and chef Gerald they could not have been more accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble and they clearly have lots of experience in organizing private dinners. They were also more flexible in menu options compared to the restrictions I found at many other locations. The room (Lauburu), food, wine, service and overall experience was great. A number of friends were excited to hear we chose Piperade for our event and everyone had a great time. Highly recommended!!

Amazing food, excellent service and perfect for special events. We celebrated our wedding here and it was delightful. Highly recommend the jamón and fig toast, grilled octopus and calamari and stuffed peppers.

Had not been there since my partner died. Was a favorite of ours. Went there with my new Beau. Excellent food, very friendly wait staff. The owner/chef was walking around seeing how everything is.. the orange flower beignets were not on the menu sadly. Hopefully he will bring them back.
