We were completely satisfied with our meal.
Great service and portions. The staff is friendly and did a great job asking if we needed something which I eventually did need something. I appreciated it that because sometimes some waiters take a long time and don't even ask. I felt as if my service was greatly appreciated. We definetly enjoyed our meal and even had leftovers.
The restaurant was really clean as well as their bathroom.

Fantastic food, fantastic staff. However I cannot give 5 stars because of the price. $115.00 for 4.5 plates of pancakes and breakfast foods is just insane, so great place should have $$$$ on google.

We were going to the wharf, but wanted to get brunch nearby. There were a lot of options, but my mom really wanted to try their unicorn pancakes for the dragon fruit. We came around 11am and it was crowded inside. We had to wait maybe 10 minutes before being seated though. Inside had a lot of tables and was pretty cramped.
We ordered the unicorn pancakes and the Denver omelette. I asked to switch the ham to sausage and with potatoes, not hash browns. The unicorn pancakes was really good. The fruit was fresh and sweet. My omelette did not come with potatoes and was made with ham. We asked to switch it out, but they ended up just giving extra potatoes. It still tasted good, but I was still a little sad.
Parking will definitely be hard in this area, but we ubered. I'm a little disappointed that my dish came out incorrectly even after confirming it. The food was still good and I would maybe come back to try their other foods. It is pretty cramped in here, so be mindful of that if coming with a big group.

Delicious! Great atmosphere and friendly staff, just a tiny bit slow.. But worth it. This is the egg and cheese on sourdough. Yum

This picture here is $17 before taxes and gratuity (two slices of French toast and a side of hash brown). Was it delicious? Yes. Was it worth $20+ (no beverage)? No. Would I recommend it? Only if you don't care about value. You will eat well, and you will spend a lot. I hear this is standard in San Fran, though. I will leave this at 4 stars for now because of that.

Great place for breakfast or lunch. Friendly staff, large portions, great taste, and many variations of classic dishes. Stopped here on a whim the first day and liked it so much we came back the next day.

Great food. Fresh juices. Newly remodeled. We enjoyed our meals & service, along w/the proximity to our hotel.

For those that are expecting decor from the TV show, please throw those expectations out the window. This place is newly remodeled with wood look tile floors, fresh paint, cute metal chairs & new tables. Plenty of variety and reasonably priced for San Francisco. And conveniently located by Fisherman’s Wharf. Go. Enjoy!

I had both breakfast and lunch at Joanie's. The hope was that the cost of breakfast would be less than ordering a la carte from the hotel I was staying at nearby. It really wasn't, but then I found it is hard to find a good breakfast for less than $15 in the area. That being said Joanie's is clean and the staff is friendly and attentive. The menu is quite small for a "diner". You can get the most of the breakfast standards. For lunch your choices are a little more limited. You can get a burger or a quesadilla. I will say the burger was good and again I ended up spending about $15. I would have rated higher if I had more choices on the menu.

Best breakfast for your bucks. Hotel prices way too much, close to our hotel and they feed you lots of food. Won't go away hungary. I will definitely bring my family here next time we come.

Wow! What an oatmeal breakfast! Fresh raisins and cooked to perfection!

Great breakfast!. Loved it here! The service was great and friendly, the food fantastic. We had a huge breakfast with yummy fresh fruit. The pancakes were light and fluffy, hasbrowns golden brown, toast was hot, bacon crisp! The food tastes as good as the photos in the windows look. A gem just off the wharf.

Huge, delicious breakfasts !!. Surrounded by Fisherman's Wharf hotels that want to screw 20 bucks or more out of you for breakfast, this little eatery serves up huge, affordable and delicious breakfasts. Great and friendly service too !!

Solid breakfast fare, but nothing special. A little pricy for what you get

Not Impressed. I have no real complaints about the food or service, neither do I have anything good to say. It was breakfast fare... that is about it. Not great. Probably wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

We found this diner at the hotel concierge’s recommendation. We actually ate at Joanie’s twice: Saturday and Sunday. Not only was the location convenient (it’s right by our hotel), but the food was good and the servings were hefty. Jay and Becca Brian and Ching Our complementary fruit plate… Food! I love corned beef hash. It’s one of my favorite things to eat for breakfast. Brian and Jay loved the fat steak fries. Becca’s Canadian bacon. Corned beef hash omelet with NO cheese! That’s what I got the next time we went. It wasn’t on the menu, but I figured they could make it because they have eggs and they have corned beef hash. LOL. Brian and Jay both got bagels and fries. Becca got a big, fluffy Belgian waffle with powdered sugar and buttah!

I enjoyed my classic favorite chocolate chip pancakes with eggs & bacon. A great start to the morning. They were quick and efficient with the order and the pancakes were wonderful. Just as good as the ones back home.
