I stayed at San Francisco 4 days and went there twice! Small place with lots of surprises. There's always a long line but totally worth it. I love their sushi rolls and drinks. It's a great place whether you go as a group or dining solo.

My last dinner in SF before flying out tomorrow morning. We were looking for good food and decided on Ryoko’s after doing some searches. It was a good decision! Had the rainbow row and chicken karage and the amount was just right. Both dishes are excellent.
Ryoko Japanese Restaurant is a hidden gem when it comes to sushi dining. From the moment you step in, you are greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly transports you to Japan. The menu offers a wide variety of sushi options, each one more delicious than the last.
The sushi at Ryoko is simply outstanding. The chefs are masterful in their craft, presenting each roll with precision and attention to detail. The fish is incredibly fresh and of the highest quality, making every bite a flavorful and delightful experience. The presentation of the sushi is visually stunning, almost too beautiful to eat.
The staff at Ryoko are attentive and knowledgeable, always ready to offer recommendations and answer any questions you may have. They go above and beyond to ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional.
If you're a sushi lover or looking to explore the world of Japanese cuisine, Ryoko Japanese Restaurant is a must-visit. The combination of incredible sushi, welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service make this restaurant a true standout in the culinary scene.
Awesome sushi spot! The cocktail list was so fun and delicious. The sushi rolls were fresh and they were decently sized. We also got our food super fast. This place definitely feels like a hole in the wall which was so cool. I can’t wait to come back!
Loved my experience, definitely hope to be back! I know "sushi dive" may not appeal to everyone, but the food was amazing, service outstanding and I adore the atmosphere. Had the Tahoe roll with Asahi and edamame. Anywhere I can get tuna and Dr. Dre like that, I'm a big fan

Ask them to make a sashimi dinner for you. It was awesome. They tell you what to eat, how to eat and in what order with or without soy sauce. Delicious! Friendly, fast service.
When you love sushi and eat it all the time pretty much wherever you travel...this place exceeded my expectations for a fabulous San Francisco sushi restaurant.
I had the Chirashi and it did not disappoint! Chef's choice and it was far more than the usual 5 sashimi's that are normally served. Kudos to the sushi chef for the creativity!
Highly recommend! A friend of mine posted a reel of this place on Instagram, and I saved it for my next trip to SF. I went when they opened at 6 and it’s down the stairs in a basement. The music was a lot of throwback hip-hop which was pretty cool!
Had a few items - hot tuna roll, 49ers roll, salmon skin hand roll, and isaki sashimi. All delicious!!
This place was so good!! Get the fire rice! We also had wonton soup and a beef dish. So much food!! We way over ordered for 2 but we did some damage!
The food was absolutely delicious. The waitress was fun and attentive. She made suggestions on dishes and the best ways to eat them as well as suggestions on new drinks which were delicious. The restaurant was darker and had a more intimate feel to it. My only criticism is they do not have the capacity to accommodate a large group comfortably. We had a large group and were seated in a small room with a small fan. The fan did nothing and it became hot and uncomfortable quickly. With a small group, I would have no complaints. Highly recommend.
Great underground restaurant. Came here for soft shell crab, which doesn't seem to be common in the city. Did not disappoint! Also got chicken karaage that was incredibly juicy and good.
Rolls were solid, although I'm not a sushi connisour so can't say how they are in comparison to other places. They had some pretty interesting rolls like salmon skin that was pretty solid.
Very underground and nice atmosphere. Service was solid as well. Was not too busy when I went Tuesday night.
