Review Kitchen Story - San Francisco

Cynthia De Las Salas
When I tell you “mouth watering yumminess” that’s exactly what I mean! Oh my goodness! The French toast look like Texas toast but with San Francisco goodness! The eggs are amazing, full of flavor and veggies and the bacon…. Well worth the calories. I definitely felt like a millionaire (hence the name Millionaire Bacon) hope you #enjoy and don’t forget to take it all in, this is your life, make sure you don’t miss the small stuff. Oh yeah! And thank the servers a little more for me, they were beyond great.

Eggs were well cooked, the pork wine sausage was good, and the potatoes were good. The bacon was wrecked - far too crispy. The butter had some kind of sugar in it, maybe honey. Not to my personal tastes but the other people at the table seemed to quite like it. I'd have no problem going back if I were meeting friends in the area, but I certainly didn't have anything worth traveling for.

Kitchen Story SF has been my culinary haven since its opening. It's a place that has redefined my relationship with food, particularly bacon. As someone who typically avoids bacon, their Millionaire Bacon is an exception I gladly make - it's that remarkable. The aroma of their dishes greets you even before you step in, setting the stage for an extraordinary dining experience. However, this popularity means that a wait is almost inevitable. For small groups, expect a waiting time of about 15-30 minutes, but rest assured, it's worth every minute. When I first saw the price for four pieces of bacon, I must admit, I was skeptical. But all doubts were instantly dispelled the moment I tasted the Millionaire Flight. It features four thick, long slices of bacon, each uniquely flavored, and each a

Came here roughly when they opened, there's no wait if you do so. If you arrive roughly an hour after opening, be prepared to wait for some time as the line gets big. At first glance, the pricing for 4 pieces of bacon looked kinda outrageous, but after it came, expectations were shattered by reality. The Millionaire Flight has 4 pretty thick long pieces of bacon, each one flavored differently, all which were pretty good. The ribeye omurice was also pretty tasty, only caveat I had was, it didn't really look like omurice but rather rice with a not separated scrambled egg on top of it. Other than that, the flavor was pretty on point. The deep fried toast however, was somewhat of a letdown, comparatively to all the rave reviews for it. The center of the toast is almost like a huge chunk of butter, too much for my taste.

I had the chicken mango sausage egg Benedict plate. I didn't like the chicken sausage? It tasted like something from fast food place, kind of dry. It also had no taste of mango. Other than that it was pretty good. Also, bottomless mimosas were legit strong, I was surprised. I would go back but get something else to eat.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kitchen Story, located on Sanchez Street in San Francisco, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. My wife and I decided to indulge in their delectable offerings. She ordered the eggs and Millionaire's Bacon, which was cooked to perfection, while I opted for the Deep Fried French Toast. Both dishes were simply divine - bursting with flavor and cooked just right. The location of Kitchen Story is not only picturesque but also very convenient. Situated right next to the elementary school where I will be working next year, I am already looking forward to becoming a regular patron. One of the highlights of our visit was the reasonable pricing. The quality of the food surpassed our expectations, making it well worth the cost. Additionally, we requested a coffee to go, and although they mentioned they normally avoid doing so, they graciously accommodated our request this time. In summary, Kitchen Story on Sanchez Street is a must-visit for anyone seeking delicious food, friendly service, and a cozy ambiance. Whether you're a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop by for an unforgettable meal.

I am from out of town and a friend recommended this place. The food was delicious! I had the raspberry lemonade mimosa, french toast and the millionaire’s bacon. I can honestly say it was the best bacon I’ve ever had and I’m sad that I won’t be able to have it back home lol

During our trip to San Fran, Breafast choice was made by our boy that has great taste in food☺️ Went to the Kitchen Story, a very popular local place, I understand why. As soon as we arrived to the door, we were warmly welcome and seated by a very nice hostess.First great impression😍 Ordered our food, Open face Breakfast for our son, The Athenians Omelette for Hubby and I picked the Primavera Omelette, both Hubby & I asked for Gluten free toasts🍞 that were served with a delicious Honey butter that melts in your mouth. Every plates were superbly presented with garnishing of Strawberry & pink grapefruit slice. Our omelettes were cooked to perfection and the potatoes were some of the best we ever had. The service and atmostphere of the Kitchen Story is also important to mention as every employees seems so happy to be there and it is truly felt by customers, attentive to ensure we enjoyed our breakfast but also that our coffee is consistantly being refilled. I recommend this restaurant when you want to have a great Breakfast or Lunch, you will be Thrilled you did.☺️🍽

Extremely delicious. First time eating here, my younger sister recommended. We only waited for a few minutes to be seated, We were seated outside, on the outside area, it was very busy, both inside and outside. We were right away serves a carafe of water, that was good service. We were greeted. The menu was simple, we had googled it, found the pictures very helpful. We ordered French toast, California burgers , I order the salad. Our order came out fast. The presentation was beautiful, all our dishes were perfectly decorated. My salad was delicious, my son loved his French toast and my husband said his hamburger was the best he’s had. The service was good and friendly. Highly recommend kitchen story. Yummy food, clean restaurant And great service. Visited : December 2022 Wait time :10-20 minutes Reservation recommended :yes Price :$20-30 Kid friendly: yes Family of 6 loved it.

Candied bacons and other sweet treats. ✨Millionaire’s Bacon Flight @ $23 USD Sample platter of original, citron, cinnamon and rosemary flavoured bacons. The flavours really came through for all, but personally enjoyed the rosemary bacon the most. ✨ Mascarpone Stuffed Deep Fried French Toast @ $15 USD Stuffed with cream cheese, the fried toast was nicely complemented with the freshness of fruits. Recommended to be a sharing dish due to the rich sweetness. Ribeye Omurice @ $23 USD Rice with cubed ribeye beef topped with scrambled eggs and demi glazed sauce, served with a side of roasted potatoes and carrots. Portion of beef could’ve been more generous but the roasted potatoes and carrots were nicely seasoned with a crispy exterior. ✨ must trys!! ✉️ follow me @BrieVco on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube for more!

It's a great place to visit, our brunch was good, the plates were very colorful and vibrant. Loved their omelets, the burger was missing seasoning for my taste. Definitely would recommend to visit, overall great experience and excellent location next to CastroStreet 🏳️‍🌈. First comes first serve waiting was only 15 minutes in Saturday 10:30am.

This place should easily have 5 stars!!!! My family and I went on Father’s Day and everything from the staff all the way down to the food was nothing short of AMAZING! They have a great amount of outside seating, but inside is limited due to it being a smaller establishment. But don’t let that deter you, the food is amazinggggggg! That millionaire bacon speaks for itself!!!! It’s a mustttty try!!! It’s sweet yet had a small small kick! Nothing unbearable to the none spice lovers:) Whenever I’m back in SF from Florida I will be back:)

There’s always a wait so plan to get here early (15-20 minutes on average for a party of 3). Their matcha and sesame latte are delicious ! The portions are huge and their bacon flight is good to start off with (although the citrus was a crowd favorite). Super fluffy pancakes and delicious eggs ! Definitely a hit for a brunch spot with food options for most.

The food was amazing great service and no wait at opening. Sat at the bar and the lovely ladies were great. Small but well worth the wait if you have a larger party.

We got seated quickly. The food was so good! The bacon was my favorite 😋 . I had the ricotta hotcakes with banana 🍌 and walnuts. They were so good! They truly don't even need syrup. All of the food we ordered was good! The customer service was also so great! Highly recommend 📍🌁
