Review Mama Stella’s Pizza Kitchen - San Diego

Angela Horton
I ordered the pesto, shrimp pasta and Caesar salad. The pasta had a great flavour and lots of prawns. The Caesar salad was fresh and a good portion size. The dressing was served separately which was great as not everyone likes salad dressing. They didn't serve coffee but the hot tea was fine. Excellent value with our $20 +d tax dinning plan.

Mama Stella's Pizza Kitchen is a cafeteria style eatery. The Chicken Caesar Salad was very good. Fresh watermelon and chocolate dessert was very good tasting. I would recommend purchasing the "All day eating pass" prior to coming to Seaworld.

C’mon... I know it’s Amusement Park food, but this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had regarding food. The food was expensive, the quality was cheap. I mean it’s Italian Food... A little higher quality sauce, real garlic, butter, olive oil... It’s not hard to mess up, but you out did yourselves. Sauce tasted like the .99 Cent Sauce you buy in a can, and the pasta was mushy and flavorless...

This place is bad. 30 minutes lines, not tasty food served in togo boxes, dirty tables, expensive for such quality level. Stay away.

You want the worst food in So Cal? Here it is. Enjoy some pizza that tastes like plastic and some Caesar salad that tastes like rubber.

Even by amusement park standards, this is bad. Overcooked pasta, tasteless sauces, and pizzas that look like they were assembled by monkeys. SeaWorld, do better.

I am so disappointed at this restaurant.  We didn't even mind the high prices since it's Sea World.  My son ordered a Gluten Free Pizza that took over 45 minutes to be provided to us and it was undercooked.  We had also purchased the "already pre made" bbq. chicken pizza.  and a Pepperoni Pizza.  The BBQ chicken pizza caused my daughter food poisoning and we ended up in the hospital for over 7 hours as a result.  This is why Little Ceasars is smart, and never has premade "chicken" pizza's.  Only pepperoni and straight cheese.   Our trip to San Diego was ruined and cut short due to this.  My daughter started to vomit this pizza approximately 30 min. after eating it.  She continued to vomit for over 15 hours (even after being released from the hospital).  This is the most horrible experience and my daughter will never eat pizza again.  If you plan on eating here, I suggest you are careful with their food.  Do what my son did; he returned with his undercooked gluten free pizza and requested they re-cook it.

Medicore food and high prices. Honestly, this is what we expected. Isn't all theme park food overpriced and mediocre? So it lived up to our expectations. But it filled us up for more rides and animals. My two year old woofed it down. But I can't say anyone but her liked it.
