Project Bar & Grill

This place has a really cool vibe. I think it used to be an old house that they turned into a bar. The place is 2 stories and has patio seating area. They have a large selection of beer and liquor to choose from. They carry all the craft beers from breweries in San Diego. They also have some really good food. I would especially recommend the waffle fries.

If you want to be ignored, sit inside. If you want sporadic service, sit on the patio. It was real unfortunate that the service here wasn't great. Originally sat inside and no one paid attention to us. Moved outside in the end which actually had service but still wasn't up to par. Their patio is beautiful and I would go back just for that if we'd had a better experience. My boyfriend ordered the Brew Project burger which he said was actually really good. I ordered the King Carne Fries. They were alright, extremely overpriced, and came out honestly kind of cold. Despite all that, beer list was good.

Delicious food but small portions. I guess that's typical for this type of place. Great beer selection and some Bourbon. I'm more interested in Bourbon and my hubs likes the beer, so this is a great compromise. Beautiful patio at night with all the heaters. The music selection really sucked. But that's a personal taste issue.

Went to a private event there last night, which was awesome! Our friend Dino Luciano, famous MasterChef, won the Season 8 Finale for $250k! The staff was awesome. We had a huge crowd and they handled everyone quickly. My favorite beer was their house IPA, Brew Project IPA. We had the Balboa Grilled Cheese and Cubano. The Balboa was so good w/ Bacon & Avocado. My gf's Cubano was so big we had to take 1/2 of it home. This place was going off for a Wednesday night. Apparently, they also do a Pint night every Wednesday with different breweries. We will definitely be back. And it's dog friendly!
