I think I missed this place when I would visit San Diego because it always had a huge line out front.
Now I see why they always had a huge line.
The chicken sandwich was magnificent and the fries were seasoned the way God intended.
I wanted to try their fries after reading the reviews. They read my mind and included fries with my order as a kind surprise and parted with “welcome to San Diego”; they are so nice!!! Super kind and thoughtful people. I want to know how he read my mind though. I already left my brother a voicemail recommending he travel 3500 miles to try this particular chicken sandwich.

The food was good. Chicken strips were a nice size juicy, good crisp... believe it should have been a few more strips. Waffles were soft and fluffy, but were not temperature hot. Prices were expensive for the portions. Burger was good... didn't include fries. Toppings were fresh. Will return to try sauces on sliders for review

I dream about this chicken. So good. The waffle sandwiches are HUGE and so fun and messy and good. Their hours can be sort of sporadic, I usually call before. Might just be because of Covid. Totally recommend.

I've only had chicken and waffles at 2 different places in my life. Rhythm's and one in Charleston, SC. This was an amazing dinner. Had the chicken and waffles plate. That was delicious! The waffle was nothing to write home about, but the chicken was so very tasty. The breading had some heat to it which paired well with the syrup. Hands down would go again, multiple times over.

Such good chicken! The way they batter it in buttermilk and add a touch of rosemary is a winning combination. I usually get the loaded fries with honey mustard and Buffalo sauce and it's just great. I have had their chicken sandwich once and it was also good, but the fries just do it for me. A little long on the wait times, but it's okay for that good of food and small of a kitchen

Delicious crispy chicken sandwich and curly fries. They get your order ready pretty quickly and it is definitely worth a try. Ive heard this is one of the go to spots so I wanted to try it when I visited the city. It's also a super popular spot for lunch for those who work in the area. Come early if you want a spot.

This right here, this was the best chicken and waffles that I have ever had. There is only one guy in there making food and running the place. I don't know how he does it, holey moley it was delicious and more than I ever could have hoped for. Thank you Rhythm's chicken and waffles.

This place is BOMB. I ordered the honey sriracha chicken sandwhich and it was so perfect! Satisfied my chicken craving with a little sweet and spicy. The wait wasn't too long and they are super friendly! A great black-owned business
