Wow! This place serves really fresh tasting sushi. The teriyaki chicken was super tender and a little on the saltier and saucy side, but the rice made it less salty. The beer was delicious also. Overall wonderful owners and servers, very clean and just a hidden gem.

My wife is from Japan and I have also lived there in the past. We love Kotobuki restaurant. Nice, clean and spacious restaurant. The staff (from Japan) is very kind and the sushi and other food is fresh and tasty and at a reasonable price. There is usually no wait for tables. I highly recommend it.

The best sushi in San Diego! We have been following this sushi chef from when he used to work at Blue Fin to him opening up his own restaurant, Kotobuki. The fish is so fresh! The staff is the nicest ever and they do such a good job!

Delicious and fresh! A wonderful restaurant owned by a lovely family. We always enjoy coming here and everything always tastes SOOOO good, fresh, and excellent quality. I also appreciate how clean it is and you can tell they take great care in all they do. Make sure to stop by if you're in the area (even if you're not - we don't live in the area and make it a point to come here) to support this establishment! You'll surely love it!

Decent sushi place. Saw this place and wanted to give it a try. I loved the uni, thought the salmon belly was a tiny, little, fishy to me. I would come back but would get more uni next time.
