Pure Press Hillcrest

If you've been on 5th in Hillcrest recently, you may have walked right by this adorable little hut without registering that it's a place of business. It sits right next to Brazen BBQ and offers juices, smoothies, and fruit bowls. Turned out to be a great choice after a morning hike. I ordered one of the specials of the day which was $4, cheaper than their normal prices of $6 an $7, and it was delicious. Peanut butter, banana, coffee... You could taste each of the ingredients and it was my first experience with chia, which is interesting in itself. They have a lot of tasty sounding options and the couple in front of us ordered a bowl which also looked fresh and delicious. The stand itself is enticing with fresh fruit and produce everywhere. I like the simplicity of it and that's it a walk-up outside stand. It's nice that it's located right across from the 24 HR Fitness because it'd be a good post-workout treat. The service was super friendly and they let us know we could request a make-your-own smoothie mixture, which I may have to try sometime.
