Found this place by searching Google Maps for deli sandwiches for a light dinner with my wife after furniture shopping one night. And to us, deli sandwiches are the kind we're used to getting at a NYC deli. Well, Fat Boy's was a surprise gem that did not disappoint and lived up to our expectations! Board's Head cold cuts, on big sandwiches made by an amazingly friendly staff! We sat at a table outside on the sidewalk, like a cafe, chatted and watched the passersby and traffic in the unique town of North Park. Terrific 'date night' it turned into. We will definitely be making this a regular stop for quality 'deli' sandwiches that are worth every bit of the trip from home in Coronado to North Park! Fat Boy's...they do deli right!
So tried this place just out of the blue. Best damn sandwich I've had in SD so far. And I've tried a lot of places. Only thing I gotta say is the side portions are a bit on the itty bitty side but other than that....it's a great place to hit up for lunch or dinner.
Came in to grab a sandwich. I got the BLT on a roll. It came with a pickle and side of either potato or macaroni salad. I chose potato salad. The sandwich was very hearty with lots of bacon. The potato salad was average. The pickle was a nice surprise. They have a huge selection of different types of chips and snacks. Lots of different sodas and beers too. I will definitely be going back.
Best Sandwiches I’ve tried in San Diego! I ordered “The Jerk” it did not disappoint.
The wait time was 15-20 mins. There was no one other customers in the shop but I guess they had online orders.
This place was recommended from a friend and it did not disappoint. I absolutely love sandwiches so mine have to be up to par. They have a huge variety of sandwich toppings, breads, chips and drinks. The sandwich come with your choice of potato or macaroni salad. I got the potato salad and it was pretty good. The turkey and Swiss on toasted rye was so fresh and delicious. A pomegranate kombucha to wash it down. If you are in North Park LA. Make the pit stop

If you are A San Diego tourist or Local this is the spot. The Food is awesome I highly recommend the Deluxe Italian, amazing variety and affordable pricing only paid 16$ for a drink and A Sandwich. The place is loaded with drinks and has some pretty cool stickers by the register. I will say this Fat Boys is the spot for a great sandwich.
Ordered the Blackened Turkey Gouda. Good size and taste. It usually takes 10~15mins but worth the wait
I popped into this deli for a quick bite and I was happy I did. My sandwich was delicious and made with quality ingredients. Customer service was friendly and my order was quick. They have a good selection of sandwiches and tons of drinks and spirits as well. I’d for sure go back again.
Hands down my favorite sandwich deli in North Park.
They have a great menu and it's easy to find one you love and absolutely stick with it.
I've been having the North Park Club for a decade now.
Along with an amazing selection of chips and exotic drinks and some really interesting snacks as well.
If you live in the area or are just passing through and are craving a hella sandwich do yourself a favor and go to Fatboys!

Converted to a regular after first visit, the food is ASTOUNDING ‼️ Quality of ingredients and meat (Boar's head 🐗) is just pristine. They have a great selection of craft beers and root beers (a must have with every lunch, from selection as picture). Their service and speed is excellent. For it's popularity it's never too crowded for it's size. Price is moderate, but worth the quality and service❣️ This CERTAINLY beats Subway any day ‼️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🥂🍻 #HollywoodSpotlight
I got the Northpark sandwich with a side of potato salad, the sandwich hit. It’s packed with flavor and they was not stingy with anything. I’m a fan of my personal potato salad but the potato salad was actually pretty freaking good and everyone was really nice. they also have a huge variety of drinks and chips. Definetly coming back for more.

All around, amazing. Placing the order online was pretty easy. Food was so reasonably priced for the quality alone. I placed the order online while leaving the zoo. First time customer on vacation with 2 kiddos and a dog... When I arrived the guy brought up that there were no veggies on either sandwich. That was totally a mistake on my part. He & the deli staff were so accommodating. We had: blackened Gouda on sourdough, CYO blackened turkey and cheddar on French bread & their chili. All amazing. Would absolutely recommend and we will be back for sure.
