Super quaint bakery, I loved it. They did our wedding cake on short notice, but it was still gorgeous and VERY reasonably priced. They have a good variety of flavors, and baked goods for sale as well. My husband and I got some macarons while we were putting our order in for our wedding cake, and due to the fact that they were a little more crunchy than normal, the cashier gave us a discount. They were very upfront and honest about it, without us asking what their macarons tasted like. I like an honest company. The pastry artist is also very accommodating to allergies, and has good suggestions if you don't know what you're really doing. Great place!

I ordered the cherry blossom strawberry shortcake, but had the flower petals customized to be my favorite color: Tiffany blue! The result was exactly the way I pictured. Gorgeous, blue and white flowers joined together by delicate branches atop a deliciously light, creamy, and tasty white frosting. They also write "Happy 16th birthday" plus my name in cute pink cursive letters. The size of the cake was perfect for the 40 people that came to my Sweet 16 birthday party; each guest was able to get a relatively large slice of this soft, spongy, and sweet creation. The strawberries added the perfect amount of freshness (and color!) to the inside, and all together the cake was just the right amount of sweet without being too sugary. It caused an enormous sensation among all my friends, and several of them tend to be picky when it comes to cakes! Not to mention the service was really efficient: when I got to the bakery my cake was in the fridge, fresh ready to go. Plus the staff is really nice! Definitely recommend this place for when you need a dessert that makes an impression; not too expensive, worth each and every penny :)
I come by here for their macaroons. It's so delicious, it's a bummer that they only make them once a week, I think. I usually like my macaroons fresh out of the oven and warm but nevertheless, it's still good even if it's days old. Staff were really nice and friendly as well.
Cool local spot with a more lounge feel around the edge of the wall, which has large rocking type chairs which are comfy and have little ikea tables between them for your food and board games (which they provided; scrabble, connect 4, monopoly...)seating for 4 in each section(4 sections inside along wall of establishment) plus the glass table for 8 and another table for four located in the middle and entrance of Big Joy Family. Lots of choices when it comes to choosing a slice of cake, cheesecake, plus drinks (coffee, latte, smoothies..) defiantly worth checking out if you are in the neighborhood. I had the strawberry shortcake slice, and a strawberry/banna smoothie. Both tasted fresh, and we'll prepared. Served on a nice tray for you to take to your table. Everyone was very friendly and greeted us when we walked in and then again when we were leaving. Will be back again.
Best macarons in San Diego, hands down! Wonderful Customer Service and lovely place to gather with friends for an afternoon tea.
The staff were absolutely amazing and the macaron frappe was SO delicious!!! I definitely recommend this place! There is so much to choose from and there is something for everyone!
Love this bakery on convoy. Theres tons f sweet breads, birthday cakes, individual cakes, macaroons. There’s even baklava!
