Review Machu Picchu Bar & Restaurant - San Diego

I really appreciate the atmosphere of this restaurant. The barman was very polite and nice, also the waitress very kind. They have a few local beers like PACIFICO and great Peruvian food. I loved the sauce and really enjoyed the rice with shrimps. I would also recommend their cocktails. There are a few seats outside and lots of seats inside. People usually come here as groups, although it is a pleasant and nice place to eat alone. I didn't had any deserts and I'm sure if it's something here.

The customer service was very good, since she was attentive and quick. A minor thing was the quality of the food. The beef (part of the beef stew - seco de res) came out a bit cold; also the seafood felt overcooked in the leche de tigre. We thought it was good that the food came out so fast after we placed the order; but we would've preferred to wait a little longer to get a higher quality of food. Besides the minor points stated above, both dishes were still good along with the presentation.

Right in the middle of legendary Gaslamp District of San Diego is this restaurant with mexican and peruvian dishes. It might not look that spectacular and it is a bit noisy for my taste. They would earn my fifth star if they turned the music down. But the food is simply delicious, especially the fish. I would love to come back and taste more.

The food was excellent and for saying it was all cooked fresh the speed of service could not be faulted. The waiter was attentive but did not hover which in my opinion was just right. The servings we're just right and very tasty. The fried banana was great well worth the visit alone

We didn't eat here, but the drinks and service were amazing. Awesome that they had good pisco sours and Peruvian sodas (Inca Cola) here to enjoy.

Elizabeth, our waitress, was very quick and friendly. The food proportions were large and the pisco drinks were excellent.

A new location with very good food, we took a chance when we couldn't decide where to eat, and were very glad we chose this spot to dine at. The fried rice with chicken plus sauce was beyond good, and I want to visit again to have more! The only star marked off here is due to the waitress being unable to explain or describe any of the drinks or food items. I assume this is because the location is new. It's definitely worth a visit!

The live music pulled us in from the street and we couldn’t have been more satisfied for stopping in. The food was exquisite and the service was phenomenal. All great and helpful staff! Such a great atmosphere and I felt like I was in Peru. We came in on a Friday and they had $2 Sangrias and $3 beers. We look forward to coming back for Taco Tuesday and/or anytime for an exotic South American experience!

Amazing experience from the moment we were greeted outside with great upbeat singer. We were quickly guided to our table. The food fresh and authentic and the service attentive but not hovering.! Everyone is happy and the ambiance mighty fine! Our group will be returning often!

My sister and husband visited Peru last year, and loved their food! They're very picky. So we had dinner tonight at Machu Picchu and they said it was the best Pisco Sours they have ever had. The dinner was delicious and authentic. Its has a great ambience, and classier restaurant. We'll be back, Thank You!

I went in for a for a meal around lunch time . I ordered a pasta dish with a steak on top. i cannot say it was bad because i did not know what i was ordering. Although personally i do not like pesto in pasta. I cannot speak for everyone. Someone else might like pesto pasta. but overall the quality of the pasta and the steak were of good quality.

Very good service! Timely and friendly! Very nice atmosphere around 3pm to 4pm not to busy nice background music. They showed the baseball games, other patrons were not too loud or belligerent. Very nice vibe. I highly re the food as well not too spicy and very tasty! Very nice restaurant overall! Waitress LUZ highly recommended!!

I ate here with my sister and it was a great experience! The bar tender Kevin made incredible drinks for us that he recommended based on what we said we liked. My sister and I each got a dish and we shared both. Definitely a place I will return to 😁
