There is no question, this is the best taco shop that I've been to in San Diego. Enough that I don't even live near there and I make sure and stop by every time I'm passing through. The owner Maurice is an absolute gem, best customer service from all staff that you will ever find at a taco shop. The prices are beyond reasonable for the unparalleled food quality. I highly recommend shrimp tacos (I try to branch out but keep getting these because they are so good)! Also, this is one of the only places that gives you a basket of chips with dine in orders to go with their fresh and delicious salsa bar. I brought my boss here, now we go all the time for lunch and have both brought numerous other people here who all agree; it's the best!
Best carne asada around! Mi ranchito uses healthy ingredients and cooking oils and you can really taste the difference. Atmosphere is great and staff is friendly

Didn't know this was here and drove by it for years. I ordered online and picked it up within 15 minutes. I was greeted by the owner I believe and she knew my name immediately and was very friendly. I ordered the fish burrito but I think next time I will try the lobster or the carne asada burritos. Very clean and friendly atmosphere!
Great place to get a burrito or tacos. The lady taking orders is very friendly, attentive and mindful of the guests. The food is delicious.
There is a handful of salsa available (mild, medium, spicy) as well as some peppers, they have a fountain drink option, and the food does not take long to come out.
Me and my friend discovered this place the first day we came to SD and it’s absolutely amazing.
During the 1 month trip we basically come here at least twice a week.

It's been a long time since I've rated a restaurant but I had to rate this place. I eat lunch at a lot of places all around San Diego county and this place really stands out as one of the best places I've been. I was having a hard time deciding what to get because everything sounded so good. I decided to go with the Friday special lobster enchiladas on the recommendation of the owners. The food was absolutely delicious and the customer service was top notch. One of the most important things for a good Mexican restaurant is the salsa and this place did not disappoint. Whenever I am in the area, I will definitely be back.
The food was excellent and the service was even better. They were patient with us taking our time to order in our first visit. And they threw in free drinks and brought us a free dessert after we ate. The food came out quickly and hot. The rolled tacos were exceptional. Highly recommend stopping for quick carry out or to sit down with your family.

The Owner who is also a Chef is awesome and super friendly. Best food I have had in California. Highly recommend the Lobster Burrito, Surf and Turf (Steak and Carne Asada ), the Seafood Burrito or the fish taco . All were so fresh and tasted amazing. Had no choice but to order again after eating so I could have leftover for later.
