Great coffee shop in the heart of Northpark! Used to be a regular staple when we lived here a few years ago and happy to say the quality hasn’t changed in two years! Fun vibe with great pastries and donuts! The donuts are vegan and really solid! You can buy beans to make at home as well!

Their oat milk is not my favorite, but it’s acceptable.
Dark Horse revived my love for coffee. I love the vibe when you walk in to this sweet little shop. It's a nice and simple menu, with got damn good coffee, and amazing pastries. Not to mention, I have gotten the bagel more times than I would like to admit... SO GOOD. Hell, I loved the coffee so much, I even buy the beans to ensure if I don't have time to go in the morning, I make my own at home.

Absolutely amazing. Iced Salted Maple Latte, so so good. And great prices! I wasn’t sure so I asked to make mine a little extra sweet. Loved it!
Matcha latte was a bit too milky for our liking, and we couldn’t really taste the maple in the Sea Salt Maple Latte. Cute environment and nice service!
Try their Salted Maple Latte! I love the mix between salty and sweet. I usually take a bag of their roasted coffee home to grind and brew. Staff is always nice and helpful. Never disappointed with the drinks I order. Oh! They have donuts too and other pastries available.
Nice coffee spot in North Park! We visited on an unusual rainy morning in San Diego and started 2023 off with this coffee.
The roast itself is great. We tried the mocha and cappuccino. The coffee:chocolate ratio was perfect in the mocha after asking for some extra sugar, and would’ve been too strong otherwise. Note that there’s no indoor seating, so it’s more convenient for take-out. Overall a recommended try when in the North Park area!
I got the salted maple with an extra espresso shot and it is so tasty! Not too sweet either, a real latte. The staff is great and they practically have a contactless walk-up window right now. This is a vegan-friendly coffee spot as they have milk alternatives, (most importantly oat 😋). I would definitely recommend this spot for a quick pick-me-up if you are in the area!

Now open till 5pm (as of 12/20/21)! Dark horse has delicious coffee and awesome service. Nice to go window sometimes with a small line but always worth the short wait.
