Oh my goodness, we had never heard of this place, so we were just expecting some subs and hoped they'd taste alright. Dang, but they were SO amazingly tasty! We had the KGB (roast beef) and the Greek chicken. My husband and I were in complete bliss. The flavors and texture and the bread were so spot-on delicious. The pretzel bites were great also. Try this place... You will be planning your next trip there like we are. We are heartbroken that there's no Cheba's in our home State:-(.

Wonderful experience! 5 star customer service! The gal who took our order was quick to offer suggestions, seeing as it was our first time. The sandwiches are delicious! Best chipotle mayo I've ever tasted. If visiting San Diego, this is one of the spots to hit!

I have been in that neighborhood for 30 years and was glad this sandwich shop came to the neighborhood. I like the Marijuana references on all their sandwich names too funny. All the sandwiches are the bomb. I also like that all of the sandwiches come in 3 sizes for your hunger. Make sure to check out the munchie snacks behind the counter total weed smoker munchies...LOL

Myself and my 5 coworkers decided to try something new for lunch yesterday. I had heard about Cheba Hut for awhile and wanted to try it out. We all ordered something different and were very satisfied. I had the Khali Mist. The combination of chipotle mayo, jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, avocado, and other vegetables made from an overall awesome sandwich. I want to try something different when I come back, as they are a good variety of choices. The customer service at the Pacific Beach location is excellent. Thank you for making lunch amazing!!

Disclaimer, I did not eat here, this review is a comparison to the Cheeba Hut in my hometown.
Also, I absolutely love Cheeba Hut no matter what location!
I have been to SD 3 times in the last year & always intended on eating here but time never allowed. This last time tho, I made a point to get down there & check it out, despite having just eaten.
The joint is small & warm 'cause the oven is right there & heats up the entire eating area. Pretty sure most people were getting it to go.
I was there 10 mins or less & my eyes were on 🔥 fire 🔥 from recent onion cutting.
There's no bar which was disappointing, both locations in my state have a bar. I so wanted to grab a beer & chill.
They need a much bigger location.
Other than that same kinda atmosphere, dude behind the counter was totally cool & engaging with me & my questions.
He said the bigger one is like a 30 min drive from there so I didn't get to check it out.
I'd recommend regardless because I know their food is bomb.

Cheba hut is amazing! I used to think that Rubicon Deli was the best sandwich shop out there, but these guys got them beat. It's not cheapest, but it is worth every penny. Fresh ingredients, great bread and saucey. Highly recomend!

First time coming to Cheba Hut. My boyfriend had been raving about it forever. We were in the area and decided to go grab a couple sandwiches . I'm so glad we did. I chose the Kali Mist in a nug (4") and he the Pacific Blue in a pinner size (8"). Both sandwiches were toasted to perfection. The flavors that you got from the chipotle mayo and the garlic infused bread were out of this world on the turkey, bacon and avacado sandwich- Kali Mist. The first bote of the Pacific Blue (tuna) was amazing. Super fresh ingredients made every bite the best ever. We also enjoyed in a munchie. The peanut butter, honey and rice ceral treat. Was a great end and dessert for us. We are looking forward to our next visit to PB to try a couple new sandwiches and maybe some other goodies too. See you guys soon.

Tried Cheba Hut for the first time through Uber Eats and… IT WAS AMAZING!! By far the best sammich I have had in a very very long time and I already firmly believe it is the best in PB and maybe even In San Diego!! Will be going back for sure to taste more on the menu. We had the 5-0 and the Kali Mist! A+ 🥇

I'm somewhat of a sandwich connoisseur and love looking around for new sub shops to try. We had driven by Cheba several times and finally just tried it about a week ago. Since then we've had it 3 times! Love this place, the atmosphere, the guys behind the counter, and especially the food. Great place to go for a good meal, a good vibe, and/or just if you have the munchies! We'll definitely be consistent customers and may eventually open our own franchise somewhere in the future. Keep on!

I’ve honestly never found a sandwich shop as awesome as this one. It’s got such personality. The sandwiches are giant, so tasty and unique.
And everyone that works there are such quality people. They treat you like you’ve known them your whole life. You have to go check it out.

Not only is the food amazing, the staff is all about good customer service and getting the customer what they want. Our menu in Colorado is a little different, the staff looked up the sandwich I wanted and made it, even though it's not on their menu. 10 stars. Thanks for being great...They "Honey Hash" is where it's at

Yes, the stoner kitsch is a bit silly, but the sandwiches are great; the menu is much more interesting than your typical sub shop. Service was fast and friendly.

Delicious subs! I love that they have so many veggie options, usually don't get that much variety in veggie options from most sandwich shops. Also the girl working the register provides great customer service, I didn't get her name but the girl with the cast on her arm is so friendly and helpful, excellent customer service! Definitely found a new favorite lunch spot!

Just went to Chebe Hut for the first time. Everyone loved thier subs. I had a salad that was missing 4-5 items. When I said something about it they made me a whole new salad to take with me. Excellent food! Excellent service! Thanks
