The Kebab Shop

Edit: after coming here a few more times, I think this place is amazing! The wraps are huge, tasty, you can customize them and everything is fresh all the time. We now crave it and must come every couple of weeks to get out fix! Definitely a must try if you are in the area. Previous review: This place is honestly pretty good. I love the wrap with added French fries, their fries are delicious. They also have a garlic sauce, which is pretty traditional with kebab/shawarma. This is probably the best kebab place in San Diego. You know it’s a pretty legit shawarma place when the customers are all Eastern European! 😁 The kitchen staff is very nice. The AC is on blast, colder inside than outside on a chilly day. 🥶

Being a health-conscious couple, we were delighted to try Kebob Shop a few years back, and it was okay. We've tried several locations over time and had "good" experiences. However about a year ago, we stumbled across THIS SPECIFIC KEBOB SHOP in MISSION VALLEY, and you guys- this place is GREAT! Everything from the service to the food to the vibe is just elevated in comparison to other spots. We have been eating here at least once a week, sometimes twice a week for literally over a year now. Their grilled chicken is so juicy and flavorful, and their carved chicken never disappoints, but OMG- the new STEAK on the menu is out of this world (and zero carbs). I do a salad bowl with greens and double steak and feta and tomato and black olives and extra dill sauce and it is GUILT FREE. Definitely be sure to try the dill sauce on any protein. It adds such a unique tang to the taste. We always ask for seven, because we literally finish each drop. AND THEY ALWAYS GIVE US SEVEN, WITH SMILES. They know us there now and always make our visits enjoyable. Seriously- go see why this location is so awesome. You'll be glad you did!

This kebab place is pretty awesome, to be honest! The food gets a solid 4 stars because the kebabs were tasty, but I've had slightly better elsewhere. The service, though, is where it's at - a solid 5 stars for the super-friendly staff who made us feel welcome and taken care of. The atmosphere is cool, like, 4 stars, because it's a bit casual, but it's got that chill vibe that makes it a great spot to hang out with friends. So yeah, it's a pretty sweet place overall!

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at this kebab restaurant! The food was truly exceptional, deserving a solid 5-star rating. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the kebabs were perfectly grilled, resulting in a mouthwatering delight. However, I'm giving it a 4-star rating for the atmosphere because while the food was top-notch, the ambiance could use a bit of improvement to create a cozier and more inviting dining setting. Nonetheless, I'll be returning for those delicious kebabs without a doubt!

Has quickly become our favorite…we eat here min once every week. Amazing food (get the wrap with carved chicken, spicy hummus, add rice, and dill yogurt- get double meat and it’s def big enuf for two meals). I crave. The steak salad is also super yummy. The employees are very nice and always remember us especially at the Mission Valley location. I enthusiastically recommend!
