This is a gem hidden inside the Marriott hotel. We began a birthday celebration with a Del Mar Spritz (aperol, elderflower, sparkling wine) and a most delicious filtered sake (Junmai Ginjo). Crunchy, yet fluffy, yucca fries were a perfect bite with chimichurri and spicy mayo. However, the star was the fish. The Hamachi sashimi was the perfect balance of texture, while the spicy yellowtail sushi was very tasty with avocado and just the right hint of spice. We continued with another round of 'ring of fire' sushi which was yellowtail elevated and seriously spicy, absolutely delicious. And finally the California roll with real blue crabmeat was simply phenomenal. Everything seemed a perfect blend of freshness, just the right spice and elegant presentation. This would have been a 5 star review if the atmosphere was a bit more cozy.

We really liked this place while we stayed in a hotel nearby. The sushi is freshly made and really good. The staff is very friendly too!

I was here on a work trip and ate while I was here. I ordered the Del Mar Spritz and loved it. It was refreshing and citrusy. I ordered the iceberg wedge salad with a side of grilled chicken (I forgot to take a picture of the chicken). The salad was great but the chicken was lukewarm, it tasted good but it wasn’t hot. Other than that, the service was great and atmosphere was nice too.

Fantastic burger … one of the best I’ve had in a while. Both dinner and breakfast the next morning were well prepared, flavorful and had fresh ingredients. Not your typical hotel restaurant.

The staff is great. Andrew at the sushi bar will make you something better than what you have experienced before. I put this up there with best sushi spot in San Diego! Try it.

So delicious. Had the yuca fries and stripped bass w couscous and grilled asparagus. Didn’t think I was that hungry but ate everything. Fries crispy to perfection w a rich aioli and chimichurri sauce. Bass was very tender w really crispy skin. Couldn’t ask for a better dinner.

Everything was amazing! We had sake, sushi, cioppino, chicken, and dessert and it was all so good. Chris was our server and he was great!! Perfect last meal in San Diego
