My go to restaurant for a fish lunch in Pt Loma . Outdoors, fresh fish (not farmed except the Salmon). Cooked with your choice of flavoring/oil. This is not a joint but an attractive clean nice condition outdoor small restaurant. I am a fish lover. It's hard to find a casual fresh fish restaurant . I no longer live in San Diego but whenever I come to town I try to eat at one of the 3 fish shop locations. The others are in Pacific beach and Encinitas. I've never had a bad meal here.
Note to fish shop- please open a location in South Orange County.

I love this place. Whenever I visit my family in San Diego I make my dad eat here at least twice per visit. The spicy dorado tacos and the yellowtail, mahi mahi and salmon tacos are always excellent. I like the chipotle glaze. Also the shrimp ceviche is great. Often a line for to go orders.

This place had a great environment and wonderful food. Although the fish and chips were good, I found better. The item that tops all other restaurants is their :Fish Shop Shrimp." This was absolutely amazing! I would go back here just for that! I am sure I would try other items on the menu as well. Great place!

How is this not 5.0 stars? This is an absolute gem in PL. I eat here at least once, if not three times per week. The "light it up" and "fisharizo" tacos are my favorite tacos anywhere. Great plates and salads and "fish shop shrimp". Love it!

The sea bass fish taco was bangin. The fish n chips were like fish tenders but veryyy good! Kids got grilled cheese and popcorn shrimp. The grilled cheese was no good but who comes to a fish shop and gets grilled cheese. My kid. The popcorn shrimp was great. Solid serving of fries with all. Got the vodka mule which was spot on. The kids menu is separate from their wall menu.

Tasty fresh fish dishes cooked your way all so delicious. Poke is incredible but too small portion. Slipper lobster tacos with garlic butter melts in your mouth and fish shop shrimp is always a big MUST. It has their signature seasoning that you can buy and take home as well (hint hint). Spicy tacos, fish and chips, full fish plates, crabcakes, even lumpia are all amazing! I can honestly say after eating her 3+ years I haven't found anything on this menu I didn't like.

Food was amazing. Fish was fresh and the fries were great. Stopped by for a quick lunch and got a Blackened Seared Ahi Tuna Sandwich on Sourdough. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life. I'm not even lying it was phenomenal.
