Review Romeo & Julieta Wine Cafe - San Diego

Some of the best food I've had in San Diego! Have driven past the place for the last few months and decided to take a shot in taking the girlfriend for our anniversary. I'm glad I did! The owners are awesome and friendly and the food was utterly blissful. I have a feeling, that anything you order on the menu here is going to be out of this world. The lava cake was a perfect sweet treat to end the night. Definitely coming back and soon!!

I'm so happy I've found this place, the food is amazing - tasty and really comforting, the owners are super charming. It's just cosy and feels like at home. I will be definitely coming back whenever that sense of homesickness will start.

This place is great! Nestled in the nook between Euclid and Monroe in Talmadge, this wine café is priced high-mid range with exemplary Polish food, and, of course, excellent wines. On Wednesdays there are specials on whole bottles, which is when my partner and I went. We took the money we saved and put it towards a generous tip for the husband and wife who are running this restaurant single-handedly during a pandemic. Both of them visited our table for a delightful chat. These are hard-working, open-minded people who deserve your business. We haven't gone out at all since the pandemic, and this was our first sit-down date in months. We felt safe here because of the delightful outside patio with good seating and spacing. Go early to avoid a crowd, or go later for some evening ambiance. Either way, it's a win. A bottle of rosé, two entrees, and a shared desert clocked in at around $80 for us. The portions were plentiful and the variety on the plate consisting of seasoned veggies, sauerkrauts, slaws, meats, and top-tier mashed potatoes was well worth it. Add this quaint find in a pretty and secluded part of town to your list. 10/10.

I just really love the vibe, unique food, and decent the pricing for the experience you get. This is a no rush restaurant (don't expect to be in and out quickly... Don't go here with an American attitude). The dining experience reminds me of my time in Europe - which was awesome. Go there and spend time tasting the wine and trying out appetizers. Move on to dinner eventually. This really is a great date night spot that is unique to San Diego. Enjoy!

I love this place! Very small and intimate. The perfect place for your first date or a special evening out. I have eaten there several times and have never had a bad experience. Excellent menu and wine selection. Limited parking but have never had a problem finding a parking spot.

What a wonderfully charming atmosphere! My friend Paul and I decided to try someplace new last week. We didn't know what to expect. When we walked in the door, I felt like I had been transported to Europe. Reminding me of the great experiences during my travels. The owners really did a remarkable job creating such a warm, comfortable feeling to the restaurant. It's not just wine and appetizers, they have a full kitchen. I couldn't decide what order, everything sounded so good. So we started with a couple appetizers, then a pizza, half Pesto, and half Pulled Pork. (Which I got a Pulled Pork Pizza to go again tonight). We had several excellent glasses of wine too. The food was very good, but the conversation with others sitting at the bar and the two owners was really enjoyable. The owner packed me a lunch for the next day for work (because I don't cook) How nice was that! Total we were there for 4 hours. Talking, laughing, exchanging ideas, oh, and good food made for a memorable evening. Oh, and happy anniversary to Todd and his girlfriend who we also met there. Thanks so much for a good time. Should I begin with the delicious wine selection? Or should I begin with a delicious crispy bread and garlic chive butter? From the moment you sit down at this restaurant you know you’re getting food made to order, fresh and delicious. Should I begin with the delicious wine selection? This is our third time here and I recommend this restaurant to anyone who happens to visit San Diego.

I really love this place. It has delicious wine, great menu for food and a wonderful relaxing ambiance. It's great for a group, a date night or like me just a nice glass of wine on Friday. They have a beautiful outside area and a well lighted inside. The owners ate very attentive and creayes the environment that makes you want to try it all happily. One of them actually as I see cooks each order which is awesome. So he is Romeo and his Wife is Julieta. She also works here and is a pleasure. Come and check it out.
