The best beef taco I've ever had! Okay maybe Tacos El Gordo can compete. The menu is a little bit confusing for first timers. I'm not impressed by the rolled tacos, but the beef tacos are amazing! They have a nice outdoor seating area too.
Came to Lolita's a few times during my short SD trip.
One time to try out their steak Monster Burrito, and another time for their carne asada fries. Their burrito is too messy/saucey inside. When you are half way through and at the bottom it is too mushy for my preference. Their carne asada fries are so good! Huge fan :D
They have a pretty cool salsa bar. Full leeks, and your standard salsas.
Food comes out pretty fast. They have a lot of seating inside as well.
Street parking in the plaza is pretty easy.
The New remodel looks great and the restaurant looks really clean. The food as always is hot and freshly made! I had a mixed burrito and you cant beat there prices here! Lots of tables inside with a TV and outside with a firepit. Fresh salsa , radishes and green onions for your meal at the salsa bar.
Absolutely love when places have sizes for their carne asada chips! Sometimes a whole container is just too much, their small is just on that boarder line of too much for one -so good though! Very tender and good flavored carne, not fatty or tendonly, lots of cheese, very crisp chips (all the way until the bottom), real guacamole, and a dollop of sour cream.
Lolitas has been a stable in my diet for over 15 years. They only use locally sourced ingredients and prepare everything from scratch. No wonder their carne asada fries are the best!
🍟 Tsunami fries: crispy fries, loaded with carne asada, shrimp, guac, sour cream.
🌮 Fish taco: grilled flakey basa, cabbage, pico de gallo
🥗 Chicken salad: juicy chicken with an unbelievable verde dressing
If you are looking for some tasty authentic Mexican food without paying the restaurant price, definitely stop my Lolitas!

So this is the spin off of the famous Roberto's taco shop. I had heard they are almost better than my favorite Roberto's. The decor is very modern and clean. I dined at the Clairmont location. To my surprise my bean and cheese burrito was lukewarm, the cheese was unmelted, also they don't grill the flour tortilla like Roberto's does. My beans almost seemed thick and dehydrated like it was from the bottom of the Vat. I can tell their food is quality, but there is some inconsistency. The chips and guacamole were fresh and delicious.
This always confirms to me Roberto's taco shop is king, always a real treat.
A descent restaurant serving run of the mill Mexican food.
The chips were delicious and had a delightful texture to them. Not too hard, yet retaining their crunchiness after being smothered in beans and sauce for a while.
My kids liked it. But they said it just average.
Their salads are real fresh. Perfectly ripe avocados, delicious shrimp.
Good Cali Burrito, very heavy on the fries but they were crispy so I enjoyed them. Meat was good as well, and there was no leakage at the bottom which is a big plus.
Chips and Beans were standard.
Free WiFi is a huge plus!
My husband and I love this place! I tried the Carnitas Salad and it was really good. My husband had the Tsunami Fries and he said they were delicious! Lolita's always has excellent food!
Best taco of my life! I am a big taco fan and this is the best I have ever had for years. Veg is fresh, meat and seafood is decilious, sause is perfect, the tortilla is soft and flavorful. Everything is just as best as I can possibly imagine. Plus the price is reasonable. It's too bad that I don't live in SD. I wish lolita will open one store at my city. If I go to SD next time and I only have time for one meal, I will choose Lolita!
