Review Bird Rock Coffee Roasters - San Diego

M
Great little coffee shop in Little Italy - away from the busy streets, though, which is what I liked about the place. The staff was excellent and knowledgeable, and the coffee was good. I had a solid pour-over, but I was hoping for something smoother with a bit more body and acidity - it was muted in the middle. Still enjoyed it. The cups are cute, and I loved the tiny little touches. The staff who made my pour-over was charming - she was telling me how in TJ, many coffee shops make pour overs which I did not know. Would go here again to sip coffee, but a bit hard to work out of due to the overhead flying planes. The seating outside can use some work, but they did try. Would come back for sure.

We came here on a Thursday morning around 10 AM. I ordered the large latte (WOW SO GOOD) and she ordered the queen Bee Latte (EVEN BETTERRR!!) and wow this was a fantastic experience. The vibes were on point, people behind us discussing some crazy over the top business deal, a few people working on their laptops and just us enjoying the moment. The chocolate croissant was tasty. I would recommend this coffee shop to everyone in the entire universe. Thanks to the baristas and employees of this fine establishment.

First time here and let me tell you guys, this chain is better than Starbucks. Only downside is they don’t offer actual food just pastries. Had a pumpkin bread that was delicious. This place also has a small bar area with all the fixings to customize your brew.

I always love Bird Rock and I have been to their different locations. And this one at Little Italy is the one I am having an art show until April 30. 2022. Welcome to check it out. If you live nearby, this spot is a nice and cozy place to work and study. If you just want to grab a cup of coffee and enjoy your morning, this space is beautiful and comfortable, and their coffee is amazing.

Very smooth coffee. These baristas know what they are talking about with the coffee and really know how to use their espresso machine. Very impressed. We ordered: spiced mocha w/coconut milk, a cortado w/ their single origin beans, and a large drip coffee. Our order came out pretty fast too, which I was very surprised about… usually coffee houses take a little more time to prepare their drinks, but they were fast and our drinks were fantastic. We will be back 😌 Peep 👀 some dope coffee photos! ☕️

Top 3 Coffee in San Diego. I don’t like black coffee normally, but this one is so good you can drink it black. The coffee beans are always changing and you never know what delightful coffee comes through next. Once you have coffee this good, you’ll never want Starbucks again

We were walking to go to lunch at a different restaurant and ran into this place on the way. Coffee smelled amazing from the street. We popped in. I got a chocolate chip cookie and siguature over ice-iced dirty horchata it was very delicious. I'm excited for our next visit to try something different.

Great service, good vibes and delicious coffee...looks like these folks really care about where the coffee comes from and those who produce it as well (and donuts!) Overall, top shelf. Highly recommend

Awesome building- I love all the light it gets. Awesome staff- always knowledgeable and excellent at what they do. My husband and I have been getting coffee from this Bird Rock location ever since they opened! It’s one of our absolute favorites!! Always such a good atmosphere here! Note- Parking can be hard to find depending on the time of day. There is limited seating but comfortable seating no matter where it’s at inside.

Great space. Open and airy across from a fun restaurant. Staff were nice and coffee was good. I had the Guatemalan single origin pour over and it was really good! I gave this four stars for two reasons: 1) the cup of coffee cost $10 - the most expensive cup I have ever paid in the world and 2) the internet didn't work outside on their patio. Overall would recommend for good vibes and good coffee for a high price.

Great service, even better lattes!! We have gone to many places & never have luck getting one with the design until we came here

These people care about you as much as they care about coffee and will be enthusiastic and sincerely responsive to your questions! What a wonderful coffee roasting house!

Well, yeah. I've been a fan ever since several years ago when Bird Rock had a concession at Petco Park. Great people, awesome coffee, and a good location to chill and--if you're so inclined--geek out on the aircraft shooting the short final for SAN. They serve a fine espresso shot and have some wonderful single origin coffees. The Elida Natural, when it's in season, is liquified Froot Loops.

Best coffee I've ever had. The staff is very knowledgeable and very courteous. I will be returning here whenever I get the chance.

Their coffee tastes pretty bad but thats not why this is a negative review. Met the manager of this place and she was super cool. Came in multiple times subsequently and in general the service staff are extremely rude and very curt. Coffee is subjective so if you like the trend in light roast this place might suit your pallete. I do not. I only ever went there because of motorcycle parking. Sadly after three times in a row of garbage service staff screwing up orders, double charging my card and acting like pricks I’ll only be going here to park my moto and eat across the street at crack shack. Wish I’d gotten the name of the shaved headed, stubble sporting prick from last time. Would call him out. That dude can eat a dick.

A little bit crowded on Sunday evening but excellent coffee to be served

Great coffee, and the barister is an artist with the cappicino.
