Such a fantastic experience! This family owned and operated restaurant is like eating in an art gallery or your favorite uncle’s house. Owned by 2 brothers and one is an artist/poet/author. They are so fun, funny and personable. The food is cooked with love and was delicious 😋 Go for the experience and go back for the family feel good food ❤️

This is an excellent place for any meal of the day. I stopped in for lunch on a Monday and only wish I could have stayed longer. Sami kindly greeted me and quickly delivered my Avgolemono which was zesty and delicious. I enjoyed the chicken tagine which featured absolutely perfectly cooked chicken thigh and the most flavorful rice and broth. I finished up with Turkish coffee. The food was excellent, the service was an 11/10, and the art makes it a wonderful and captivating environment. I can’t wait to come back and I’d certainly show this place off to visitors!

The service was great and the chef (Sahar) made the food delicious. Ibrahim (The owner), was super sweet and put a good atmosphere to the restaurant. The art was interesting and cool. I went with my father and Ibrahim gave me a signed copy of one of his books. Overall, food was great and service was amazing. -Watan

Probably the best Middle Eastern food we’ve ever had! The falafel was so soft, the gyro meat was fresh and light, and the stuffed grape leaves were extremely refreshing. None of the food was heavy, and everything was extremely flavorful. The owner is an artist and a poet, and the space is adorned with his creations. Highly recommend and we’ll be coming back whenever we’re in San Diego again!

Excellent spot to eat it and try medditernian food. The staff is extremely welcoming, especially the owner. He's funny, witty, good with kids, and helpful with the menu. He's also the artist and writer behind the books and paintings. The atmosphere is nice at the restaurant. The music is quiet and peaceful. The art adds to the atmosphere. The food options are plenty, and a good price for San Diego. I personally really liked the meat Dolma, even the veggie Dolma, and the lamb shank.

Fayrouz Cafe is a haven that marries Middle Eastern flavors with a warm, familial embrace. Owners Sami and Sahar personify the essence of hospitality, turning every visit into a heartwarming experience. Sami and Sahar, with their endearing personalities, made me feel like an old friend. Their artistry shines not only in the flavors but also in the cafe's decor. Each corner reveals a tapestry of tradition and contemporary creativity, offering a glimpse into their world. The menu, a testament to their culinary prowess, features standout dishes like the fragrant Mansaf, the meticulously prepared Lamb Shank, the cherished Dolma, and the remarkable Falafel. Each dish narrates a story of heritage and love for authentic flavors. As I indulged in the Falafel and desserts, the Baklava and Basboosa, it was clear that Sami's anecdotes weren't just tales; they were the heartbeat of Fayrouz Cafe. His insights added an enriching layer to the culinary adventure. In a nutshell, Fayrouz Cafe transcends ordinary dining. Sami, Sahar, and their impeccable art create an atmosphere where you're not merely a diner but part of a cherished narrative. If you seek a blend of flavors and emotions, Fayrouz Cafe beckons with open arms.

Visiting San Diego and we were craving Mediterranean food, found this little gem that had the most delicious hummus, babaganush, & falafel ever! But not only was the food delicious, the owner & his wife were the sweetest most amazing people! So kind and happy to serve you. The owner Al Nashashibi is a lawyer, poet, author & and an amazing artist! His beautiful artwork and poetry is displayed throughout the restaurant. We will definitely be coming here every time we are in San Diego!
