We came here for lunch with our friends, and we both have boys in wheelchairs. It was no problem. Nadia, our wonderful server pushed a couple tables together and it was great! The food, and the sangria, and definitely Nadia made it a great time. I remembered it was our friends wedding anniversary, and they missed their trip to Napa because their son was in the hospital. I mentioned this to Nadia, and she brought them a delicious tiramisu with a candle. We also tried both the moscato sangria and the red sangria....delicious and so refreshing!
We came in to get out of the rain...and ordered 2 flights of wine and the caprese salad. The wines selected for us were amazing! The ambience and wait staff were very accommodating! Our only wish was that we would be in town longer to be able to have dinner!
Apps and Wine
Went here for a glass of wine and appetizers. I would go back. You can just relax and watch people. We enjoyed the food and great service.
Nice to sit at the bar and enjoy the very affordable happy hour wine and food - top quality, and fun staff, if a little difficult to get their attention sometimes.
One of my favorite neighborhood spots!
Sogno Di Vino is perfect for sharing wine and apps with friends. It's difficult to compare it to the other spots on India because it's just a different vibe. You seat yourself and you're definitely not rushed. The servers have always been super friendly, and are great to just sit around and chat with if they're not busy.
I've had a variety of items on the menu (stuffed avocado salad, homemade pesto, etc.), but highly recommend the strawberries & brie salad and the cheese plate. They also bring the menu over from Buon Appetito next door (sister restaurant), so that gives you more options.
Overall, I just absolutely love the apps and wine, and it's the perfect place to relax at with friends. If you're in the mood for a more traditional sit down restaurant, Sogno Di Vino can be great, but you might prefer something like Buon Appetito. As for me, I'll be back weekend after weekend!
Very interesting decor and atmosphere. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Excellent food. Very generous portions.
The goat cheese / pesto / garlic dish was amazing! The cheese and meat board and the gnocchi were excellent as well. Good service also.
Wonderful atmosphere and the food was delicious!
Really good italian restaurant with italian specialties. You get mainly pasta but also meats, some italian beers and a lot of different wines. As a starter we shared a plate with cheese and charcuterie which was more than enough for two persons.
The pasta are really good and selfmade so i would recommend to try theses for you main course. You also get bread with your food with a delicious tomatoe dip sauce.
Their service is very friendly too. This place is well visited but we still got a table without waiting.
Surprisingly delicious foods at here! We came here at a Saturday night and it was very busy here, but luckily we got two seats at the bar. The service here was so slow…. We waited for a while and asked help to order. They only have wines and the one I wanted wasn’t available. Then the bartender recommended a really bad wine and I didn’t want it. Anyways, this is the reason why I gave this place a 4 star not 5. Otherwise, their food is really delicious! We ordered a lasagna, it’s small than I expected but it tastes good. The most amazing food is their wild mushroom & pea fettuccini with brandy sauce, such a wonderful pasta! I love it.
The bread and spicy dip was so delicious! I had the gnocchi special, which was amazing. Bolognese was a little bland, but overall, a great dinner
I was wandering around downtown San Diego and wanted some Italian food. I passed a number of nice looking restaurants, reading the menus as I killed time. This place was perfectly busy on a Tuesday at 630. I was hungry and told the server I was thinking about a calzone. He said pretty matter of factly they didnt serve calzones or pizza. It was polite but I couldnt help but feel like i just asked for A1 at steak house. I asked the server what he recommended if I was looking a meat sauce. His eyes lit up and he recommended some boar meat pasta or a beef bolognese dish. I have to say I think it was the best bolognese penne dish I've ever had. He paired it with a red wine that worked. I am not even sure who was my actual server as everyone pitched in but not overbearing. I had a coffee and the original server recommended a chocolate ricotta cake that was to die for. I had like 3 more cups off coffee. It was reasonably priced and right on the edge of little italy. It really was a perfect little dinner to start my work week of training out here.

I am so glad we stumbled upon Sogno Di Vino when walking around Little Italy. We were super hungry on a Sunday evening and our party of 4 was seated pretty much immediately. Food was delicious and the portion sizes are absolutely large. No one at the table was able to finish their entire plate. We’d definitely come back!
I was in San Diego for a quick turnaround. So many people told me to check out Little Italy. I'll was so overwhelmed by the many restaurants during my search that I just picked one. It was windy and raining so I didn't get to enjoy the outside seating or beautiful outside setting. I had an early dinner because my flight left out at 10:30 at night. I was seated almost immediately and served bread and water. The one dish that was touted in the reviews was the Arancini (appetizer). And, baby, it DID NOT disappoint. Honestly, I could've (and should've) stopped there. It was so delicious and very FULFILLING. Cooked perfectly. I HIGHLY recommend them. I had the Farfelle con Pollo as an entree. My server suggested, but honestly, it left more to be desired. This area and restaurant is on my list to try again. Preferably, when time and weather permits me to linger longer and enjoy...
Delicious food, attentive service, ingredients were high quality and cooked to perfection. I forget the exact name, but highly recommend their homemade cheese-and-lobster stuffed pasta with the sundried tomatos and asparagus in cream sauce. Perfection.
Great vibes and great service. The spicy tomato dip served with bread is out of this world. Favorite part of my meal. We were here about 4 years ago and knew it was a must to return when we visited San Diego again. We talk about the mushroom risotto in the Parmesan nest constantly and it did not disappoint the second time we had it. The potato leek soup needed more flavor, I wanted fresh black pepper but the server didn’t come out until I was half done with the soup. The cannoli was one of the best I have had.
Food is delicious, portions are huge. Staff is friendly and service is timely. We will be returning tomorrow
Delicious is an under statement. Must try house wines. Went in for a snack and was very pleased with appetizers.
